why am i being forced to upgrade my computer ? i have played SOD fine on my laptop, until the maintenance today. now i cant even play it because my video card is obselete. look i dont need 3d bull in order to play SOD. forcing people to do something against their will is totally unacceptable. fix it or im done.
Has updating your drivers helped?
you can run wow on a toaster what are you on about
If your computer is 20 years old, it is still top of the line for playing wow.
Those graphing calculators from highschool do need to be upgraded occasionally.
do you remember when WoW was about 10GB total?
pepperidge farm remembers…
do you have a toaster to lend me that does ? checked my drivers and they are all updated.
played fine until todays maintenance. now i get box saying graphics card cant run 3d accelerator or whatever and i cant even log in.
Are you playing it on a minecraft redstone machine and a creeper went off somewhere? This is a 20 year old game that was ported into an 8 year old client and no graphical changes have been made. It sounds like your moldy potato finally gave out.
i highly doubt it’s the client… Like you could run WOW on integrated graphics 20 years ago. But if you are running a 20 y/o machine maybe it did just give out
Until some random mob unleashes a spell with an absurd amount of particle effects that your device crashes.
Report your problem in Customer Support forum, otherwise you’ll get ignorants who thinks SoD is based on a 20 year old WoW build. There’s probably a way to bypass the video card check.
The computer was made of wood and appears to be infested with termites.
I would say they probably upgraded the SoD client to TWW client.
Since the support site is having issues:
DirectX® 12 capable 3 GB GPU NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 900 series AMD™ GCN 4th gen Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics Shader Model 5 or greater
There’s the system requirements to run TWW.
I know right? My Commodore 64 has been fine until this recent patch…
Ohhh an aristocrat, bet you have a floppy drive too. I’m still on a Vic-20.
time to upgrade that 386, grandpa
I’m getting something similar on my 2013 Macbook Pro.
Up until yesterday, I got warnings that my OS version was unsupported. No biggie, just click “Proceed anyway” and I’m good to go.
But starting yesterday, I’m getting a sterner warning that my device driver is not compatible, with only an OK button. If I click that, the game still runs, although the graphics are a bit off. The resolution is a little lower than it used to be, and the player frame right-click menu is displayed with an odd font and some missing borders.
Still playable, though.
