Is there any way to hide your shield?
I really dislike having that thing on my back as a caster. Was kind of hoping being able to transmog it as a off-hand piece but for some reason shields can’t be changed to that although weapons can be changed to other types.
Also side note is there a reason I can’t roll need on off-hand caster gear? It’s weird that I’m being forced to roll only on shields although I’ve seen plenty of off-hand drops that were upgrades.
I imagine if you transmog a back item with custom geometry (like a backpack, a pair of wings, a floating object, etc) it will hide your shield from your back.
But you can’t hide shield transmog though.
Yep. Transmogging a backpack covers the shield.
you could also mog a buckler so it doesnt really take up much visual space. 
I always tried to use staves as my shamans. Didn’t really care about the armor loss.
There’s no “hide” option for shields/off-hand items. The best you can do is transmog a back item that essentially overwrites the shield (wings, backpacks, etc).
There are some tiney bucklers. I mogged one once. Not ideal, but a start.
I find it weird there’s still not a invisible shield for peopole who want to just have a single 1 hander. ff14 has this for paladins and it’s really nice for opening up options for fashion
I would also like to see a “hide shield” option. There’s a lot of cool mog options available to Prot Warriors if they can just wield a 1h sword without accompanying shield.
Unfortunately Ele now has a basically mandatory talent that only works with a shield. I hate it.
I’m sure that Blizzard can easily create a hide-shield option. People have been asking for this for years, so then the question is: why hasn’t it been done?
