Being able to add speed or avoidance to gear

Can you make it possible Blizz to add a way to get these stats on gear aside from RNG? Would be a fun thing to work towards and having a full set of speed gear will make things pretty fun. I mean… who doesn’t like going super fast?

Don’t really care how we obtain it. Even if it costs 1000 cyphers per piece or 300 sandworn relics, it’d be fun to grind and achieve. Since you guys are experimenting with season 4, how about you bring back reforging as well?

I’d settle for an explanation why I get cloth with avoidance on it.

I’d imagine that its because even squishies take aoe damage.

why you complaining? avoidance is busted.

I don’t care for the avoidance, but new ways to obtain speedsets would be nice that’s for sure.

They’d just have to reimplement their MoP (?) system… reforging? I think it’s called? This was many moons ago so my memory ain’t what it should be.

Reforging let you change part of 1 secondary to another (so you could convert haste to crit), it didn’t let you convert secondary to speed, leech or avoidance iirc

However one could assume this’ll be extremely easy to add on to the system?

If they wanted to, it probably wouldn’t be too hard. but speed and avoid are not throughput stats, and leech only is for healers.

Another problem only just thought of: reintroduction of reforging just takes the balancing problems and exacerbates them.

I don’t think it does that. It does add an extra step before you just equip most items, which is a thing they said they wanted to remove when reforging was removed in WoD.

It definitely does, it did back in the day too. When one can push all of their secondary stats into full mastery or haste or crit, and produce really OP interactions and add that onto the current day snowstorm of class balancing? Disaster.

I think corruption did more of that than reforging. plus, we have the new secondary stat diminishing returns.

IIRC, you could only reforge half of 1 of the 2 secondary stats to another stat that wasn’t on the item (so I don’t think you can convert a high crit low haste ring into an even higher crit low haste ring)

I think so too! My point wasn’t that reforging would be the worst thing for balancing. It is undeniably something that complicates balancing on what we have active right now. With the balancing being in the state it is without the added difficulty of accounting for extra stat stacking, I have no faith that the Dev team could successfully balance reforging.

I don’t think that the extra stat stacking would throw balance too far off. Secondary stat diminishing returns has taken care of that.

I’d go for speed. Leech and avoidance are nice though

It looks like that you are capped at 150% run speed.
My main and alts have speed from the unique-equipped ring with the speed on it plus the 252 cypher gear. I love it. Without it I feel so terribly slow.
