Bear?are you talking pet?
As in hunter
I think bear is easiest. Simple rotation and defensives.
But to get at more what will actually help with tanking- watch a quick YouTube guide on the dungeons you are running. Search short guide #dungeonguide for tank or something like that.
Understanding the mechanics of bosses, different mobs in the dungeon will help you infinitely more than tank choice imo.
Prot Pally
Prot Warrior
Bear
All easy.
My fav is Pally cus we have a massive toolkit and I enjoy healing.
Prot warrior and bear in my opinion are very easy and fun to use. Although many people may not find bears fun to play. I do. Spammin AOE and stacking iron fur and just not dying is fun to me.
Both my warrior and bear druid can do an area of effect DoT spread which I like. And I have mostly done heroic dungeons (I did tank a mythic 0 this week) but my tanks are just⦠impervious to everything. I like it.
Having played all the tanks outside of Brew (too nerfed nowadays to bother) to 70, I agree mostly with some caveats.
Druid ā easiest rotationally and once you have the talent trees full itās easy to survive on too. Problem is once those frenzied regen charges run out, and Rage/Incarn are on on cd you donāt really have a way to pick yourself back up quickly. You can do it, and thereās more abilities to make it happen but you arenāt speccing into Dream usually so its self healing has large swings.
Warrior ā this one I think is actually the easiest. It has more buttons to push, but it has a large number of extremely impactful ones plus itās a lot harder to get into a state where recovering is difficult. Having a short CD aoe stun plus lots of victory rushes lets it recover easily plus it has a harder time getting laid low in the first place.
DH ā Only thing I disliked was the AOE is a bit janky. You have immolation aura, and the other abilities are more target limited or require souls. Itās very easy to overcap resources on or get into weird spots in the rotation where you want to have 4-5 souls for spirit bomb but also need to spend resources to prevent overcapping. The tanking cooldowns are a bit different than traditional ones and sometimes require targets.
Blood ā hp spikey, but EXTREMELY easy to play and healers are optional until very difficult content. Early pulls are a bit scary until you have runic power.
Paladin ā itās the group carry, but losing holy power on avenger shield made it a lot less fun to play, and you go through periods now once again where you donāt have SOTR up. Compare that to like a warrior where you can burn both charges of shield block at once and they stack full duration then youāre just maintaining. I still prefer the wrath incarnation of it vs the budget rogue in plate we got going on these days tbh. SOTR is still one of the least interesting abilities in the game to push vs other tank spenders.
Agreed. I donāt like being a combo point class, and 8k armor from Shield of the Righteous isnāt nothingā¦but relative to the other tanks, it feels bad.
This right here. My main is a bear and itās probably the easiest tank in terms of survivability with the off heals and defensives while also being able to do massive damage and have a simplistic rotation.
But back to your answer, I also have a prot warrior and would say this is a pretty solid feeling tank right now. Either way you canāt go wrong!
