Prot War so op right now it’s easier than bear.
Shield slam and throw in a shield block every once in a while if you want.
You can’t die.

also with blood we need a group of mobs beating us down for our RP gain
and death strike is a timing thing also
For my easiest to hardest
Guardian Druid
Port Pally
VDH
Port Warrior
Blood DK
Brewmaster
Druid is so easy to play very few buttons to press, very straight forward on what to press, there is very little you can do so screw up.
Port pally again very straight forward on what to press, lots of active Def CD you can use (it does complicate things when compare to druid). You have good AoE Inerupt, lots of different bubble to use
VDH plays like a DPS keep a spirit bomb up and one other thing. Never have 2 charge of demon spike use firey brand in big pulls. When you are dying jump out of AoE packs and kite which you shouldn’t need to if you have spirit bomb up. Lot’s of self healing if play correctly.
Port warrior is super OP now but you do have do a bit of planning when to use your active CD and also pority to use rage for IP, SB or do damage. Also it tends to have a few things to keep track off. There also more buttons to press as well vs Druid and pally. Lot’s of different Def CD to use but you have to know when to use them. Higher skills with higher ceiling which rewards players who knows how to play them.
BDK and Brew I think they are the same when it comes to playing them. BDK being a bit more forgiving but you rely on taking lot’s of damage and then healing it up with death strike. So unless you know how to the class work it wont’ be easy to play. You do have a lot of tools like grip, AMC but again you have to know when to use them.
As far as Brew goes. Don’t even bother with them. They are not an easy tank to play in DF. Self sustain isn’t there when compare to other tanks and their main appeal stragger scale pretty bad currently.
Had a +12 Algethar’s academy where the healer died at like 40% on Crawth. Was able to heal enough to keep me and the dps up through the rest of the fight to clear the boss. No other tank could do that, especially with grievous as an affix.
For me, Blood was super hard to pick up. I don’t think I would recommend it as a first tank to anyone. It’s very easy now that I have been playing it for months, but it was a tough one. I would recommend Guardian though.
i know some dh using some kind of addon to tank with “one button”. seems to work pretty well never had anything to whine about.
from the choices you’ve given, i’d go with prot pally. good buttons. if you screw up, you’ll probably still be okay. lots of OHSHI- abilities. self heals are nice.
plus if you hate it eventually, you can be dps or heals
There is literally nothing easier, tank wise, than playing a bear tank. It’s the training wheels babymode easy tank spec by a pretty far margin. Also don’t pay any attention to what tryhard min maxers say when it comes to balance. You are not and will not be doing content anywhere near the level where the “weaknesses” of any given spec matter.
Druid also has the advantage of being every other role in the game if you find tanking not to your liking.
Dont let the people who have experience with content that actually tests the specs capabilities give you input…whaaat.
Shield tanks are way more forgiving than Bear atm.
Can’t tell if serious. Druid is the second worst tank in keys behind monk.
It easy to play, though, but make sure you have a list of class design decisions ready to explain to groups why you can’t do certain pulls that BDK and PW walk through.
BDK easily the most difficult spec to tank well with. It’s a game manager spec. A mistake doesn’t always kill you when it happens, it kills you 10–15 seconds later. But if you play it well, you’re basically immortal against any damage that doesn’t literally one shot you.
Good insight here.
Yeah, brew is the highest skill floor and skill ceiling. When balanced right by the Devs, Brew is the most powerful tank. There was a period in Legion where we were immortal and could solo HoV. And that wasn’t uncommon. But it is work to be that good.
Prot Warrior
I have found prot pally to be the easiest with the most survivability/utility, and warrior for pure bad@@@ery.
Semper Fi!
This is what I was thinking, for all specs in the role you either have to be the best of the best or get ripped to shreds by the other players every dungeon, and even if you are the best you’ll still get some drama from confidently wrong DPS
Those people are bad lol
They kept saying prot warrior is OP. Well is onlu OP if you play correctly I seen too many protection warrior being played poorly heck some can’t even keep aggro if their life depend on it.
Brewmaster is currently the highest DTPS tank with the most active mitigation buttons and least sells sustainability.
It is not beginner friendly at all, failing to clear your stagger properly and not rotating cooldowns properly, you can get one-shot, regardless of gear.
Prot warr is probably the best pick. Its very easy to spot a bad bdk.
Warrior is the easiest class in the game.
