Pretty simple blizzard. Hard to balance a game when players are using different engines to play it. Make a standard on the game and then balance

You tell me? Just saying it is hard to balance a game when different third party software is used from player to player. Mostly from pvp standpoint but definitely could see it impacting pve as some classes since this game pve and pvp are closely related
I love gladiator addon. It tells in my ear whenever someone uses an important ability 
I mean they can.
Honestly though combat add ons effect overall player performance. Simple fact there.
I will be the first to say that being able to target perma positioned friendly/enemy bars in arena is hilariously amazing for stuff like lobbing CC, heals and interrupts to stuff I am not currently targeting with the help of macros or add ons that simulate macros in more competitive environments like arena.
Heaven forbid you invoke the usefulness of DBM

All of these examples affect gameplay but not actual class performance.
The OP is suggesting that everyone should be forced to use a single UI and then use that data for class balancing/nerfs
I love addons.

False! Only addons that may give you advantage in player vs player if your opponent doesn’t have same addons.
If you consider a raid boss an opponent then those addons should go too

This is a very sensitive subject to some. I am merely suggesting they nerf performance addons before buffing/nerfing specs

Not different engines, different user interfaces.
One of the things that makes this game great imo is the commitment of addon makers to make a better interface.
Honestly, if I lost elvui’s customization and party frames I’m not sure I’d still sub.
PvP addons I’m not so familiar with, but the Healers Must Die addon, as a healer, is not my favorite in battle grounds. If you don’t know it puts a marker you can see on healers when they heal, making them easier to train. If people bothered pealing for healers in random bgs might not be a problem, but man it sucks to be on the wrong side of.

this qualifies.
one of the single greatest thing about this game is that we can mod the UI and tailor it to our specific needs.
if you’re jealous of how someone else is utilizing addons - you can utilize them too.
