Long ago, before Mythic+. Before Mythic even… Heck, even before HEROIC was a thing. I remember players doing dungeons with no timers, no additional modes, nothing extra. Just a group of friends or randoms who played as a team to defeat content and get phat loots. And guess what? WE STILL BOOTED BAD PLAYERS and replaced them all of the time. M+ timer and “toxicity” claims, is in part, a way to blanket shame players who want to achieve more. There’s nothing wrong with having expectations when you’re doing content. If players can’t hack it, boot them. It’s always been this way. Even in Vanilla when a bad play was holding the group back, or even just generally horrible, we’d replace them with someone else.
Not all of the content in WoW is for everyone, but the game overall is for almost everyone. That means it’s okay to not want timers, challenges, or to do hard stuff. Do what makes you happy. BUT PLEASE stop trying to come into GD and advocate to destroy or remove content that masses of players enjoy because of your own self doubt, insecurity, anxiety, or other problems you claim to have. We do not care.
you know there’s like, 0 chance they’re ever going to remove M+ at this point, right? you’re screaming into the void. blizz found the easiest way possible to keep people subbed and playing the game. those people are playing the exact same content over and over, just on very slightly harder difficulties each time, without blizzard having to put hardly any effort at all into it. it’s a gold mine for them. it’s not going anywhere
Oh, I’m sorry. I thought this was a discussion forum. Forgive my insolence, how dare I post a discussion topic in favor of my own view while so many post their discussions against my views.
You can’t just enjoy a regular dungeon anymore unless you make your own group. Too many have excuses for wanting to speed through it as if it was just another chore.
I mean there are constantly posts about removing the timer from Mythic+ or Mythic+ in general over it’s apparent ability to generate “toxic” players. Whether Blizzard would or not is irrelevant, hence, why I’m guessing you didn’t read the OP since, you know, it wasn’t directed at Blizzard.
In my stance I’m not removing anything from anyone. In the opposition, they want to remove something due to their personal problems. So there’s the difference.
we need more scholomances and stratholmes and blackrock mountains and upper blackrock spires and lower blackrock spires with end game quest tie ins with titanforged-loot enabled to encourage repetition after initial completions.
I agree w/ all you said except titan forging. Repeating content w/ out anything other than a tiny chance of maybe getting lucky on a layered RNG drop is completely degenerate design. I would like to see more large and flushed out dungeons to explore. I also like the hardmode versions of them, like Kara, Mechagon, and Tazavesh.
I don’t care, I was just mocking you. I’m sorry. It’s a bad habit of mine when I feel like people can’t see both sides. I also am not asking to have anything taken away from anyone.
I feel like your thread title needs an adjustment to more accurately reflect your end goal.
The game surely needs to be more casual friendly. Clearing a regular Mythic like it’s candy is not it. They want challenging content too, but of their own accord. FF manages to do it pretty well via their story. It’s not hard, but it’s not outright easy/speed run.
