Been muted and awaiting a GM for 3 days now!

What flaws are you talking about? Everything I said is true.

And no. A guy who works at a video game company shouldn’t feel the need to dictate to me how I should act when not breaking the rules.

  1. I don’t work there.
  2. The moderators/GMs who do determined you DID break the rules hence your silence. Not your first Silence at that.
  3. If you don’t agree, follow the link to appeals to get someone else to review the logs.

Thing is, you did break the rules - otherwise you wouldn’t be here complaining about getting silenced.

Not quite, but I’ve already explained the different between a squelch and a silence.

You will never be silenced just because a group of players gang up and report you. You will be silenced if you breached rules and a GM investigating the report agrees.

I would deny that I was probably silenced for saying something insulting. Though, as an alliance player, I doubt you’ve ever experienced it. The barrens is rapid fire insults, offensive jokes and general chaos. Though some people feel the need to group up and send mass reports for things people say to get them automatically squelched. I didn’t do anything that most other people haven’t done.

Appeals don’t work. Can confirm.

I assume you didn’t read. They told me I was probably at fault because of a comment I said in another forum post about how I would rather hang out with racists than moral authoritarians and immediately thought I was guilt because of it. Nothing I said broke the rules.

What you seem to miss, is that the insults and trash talk, political or social debates, are against the rules of WoW. If reported, you will be actioned.

They certainly do if you didn’t do anything wrong. Please don’t spread misinformation.

Not when you break the rules, no. checks post history Yeah. You seem to dislike folks who are against racism. Much like the OP “Mootler”.

P.S. Blizzard can tell when accounts are posting on multiple characters on the forums.

Everyone does it. High levels hang out in the Barrens for the chat. People are having a good time and should be left alone as long as they ain’t calling for genocide or threatening people.

Really?

You not getting the action lifted doesn’t mean it’s broken.

Your opinion on the rules is not Blizzard’s. They did not have the moderation tools back in Vanilla to handle it. They do now. They don’t want that nonsense in game. Take the multiple silences as an warning your words are not wanted and either change, or continue to get Silenced. It doubles each time.

Good thing you don’t get to make that call. Blizzard does.

My words are wanted. I believe most people just wanna have a good time and laugh. This stale modern environment filled with moral absolutists has no future. These arbitrary rules are put in place by men who think things should be a certain way and anyone who disagrees have to be put out to pasture.

Obviously not or you would not be Silenced right now, or the previous times.

Blizzard is wrong and it’s ruining everyone’s Classic Experience™. If people can’t openly trash-talk each other in Barrens without fear of suspension, it goes against the spirit of Classic and is toxic for the community.

There we have it folks - an agenda.

If you don’t agree to the rules, leave the game. Otherwise, suck up the punishment when you get reported and silenced even longer.

Is that really how you think? A few people report me for some spice and you assume that the entire world is against me? As I level in the barrens, right this second, I’m watching people crack all kinds of jokes that would easily get them silenced. People are having a good time letting off some steam. That is more important than people like you not wanting to see meany bo beany words.

I’d rather change the rules for the better than leave. I like the game. It’s just run by self-righteous, dogmatic mutants with an axe to grind.
