Been gone since BFA what have I missed?

Been gone quite a long while just came back to game few days ago.

What have I missed ?

And any tips and suggestions ?

Welcome back!

Well, obviously you missed Shadowlands, and by overwheming public opinion, if you were going to miss anything, that was a good thing to miss!

Dragonflight is gnerally agreed to be a decent expansion, except for the story and handling of the characters - somewhat righting the ship after the problems of Shadowlands.

Levelling is even faster than you remember. Heirlooms got a big nerf, so you may decide to skip upgrading them.

If you intend to stay through the end of the expansion, buy the next expansion, The World Within, instead of Dragonflight. TWW includes DF, so no point in paying for it twice.

There was a level squish, so your level is about half of what it was. Max is 70. Dragonflight is in levels 60-70. Up to Level 60, you can talk to Chromie in Stormwind or Org in front of the Embassy which will be marked on your map to be assigned to level in any expansion.

Since you missed Shadowlands, you might be inclined to choose that one. There is good and bad in this. The good is that you otherwise can’t travel in Shadowlands, since that depends on completing the ENTIRE linear quest chain through all four zones (and the Maw). The bad is that you will have to complete that quest chain, and it will give you much more than necessary XP to get to 60. So it will take much longer than if you chose a previous expansion. (You can choose a previous expansion even if you have done it already.) But ofc if you want to see what you missed, enjoy!

It’s a decent time to return. Last season will be starting soon. You will have plenty of time to level a few alts, run through the content, get some gear, look around and see the sights.

Any more questions, please ask!

You can use Chromie time for an expansion you’ve done, but it doesn’t reset your quests. So if you’ve already cleared all the quests, there won’t be anything to do besides dailies and such.
