BORALUS???
After spending 6+ months wanting to punch the designed of Dazar’alor in the face, my time spent working my way around Boralus was a wet freaking dream in comparison.
You HAVE to be trolling to say it’s the “worst” city to date. NOTHING comes even close to Dazar’alor.

Fluff buildings of the past had NPCs in them actually selling stuff like pets or toys or a building for each profession. Instead we have literal empty buildings for show and a flea market for a professions area.
Dalaran was better, the MoP main cities were better, Ashran was better (but not by much, the garrison took most of it). And Shattrath was amazing. Hell, even Stormwind and Ironforge use most of their buildings for a quest at some point. Boralus just has a bunch of non function buildings that serve no purpose and only like 10% of the top right corner is used. And even that isn’t used well.
Ok, but have you seen the useless area between the Great Seal and the docks that takes 2 minutes to fly over?
Like I said I didn’t experience the horde town this xpac so only comparing it to past xpacs. But comparing a pile of dog crap to dog vomit doesn’t make the crap instantly chocolate to me… lol
Omg the pyramid at the seal is the very meaning of wasted space fly over.

I hate how they laid out the hub for the horde

Not only that but majority of the area where all the alliance points of interest are is a rested zone too

i love the pyramid. i legit hate boralus and don’t play my alliance toons more because i dislike it so much. it may be more convenient or whatever but it doesn’t have the same vibe. plus any time i’m in boralus i’m afraid i’m gonna get a quest to help jaina and i don’t wanna.
You mean Biazzzzzzzzzzz…?

Who ever designed the horde hub should be drawn, quartered, smeared with honey, left out for fire ants and then fired.
Hell, just bring back Dalaran 3.0. Recycled content would probably be better than what we got tbh.
it’s an opinion vs an opinion. i hate the alliance garrison as well and my pally goes like once every few months to pick up cloth. but dekkar goes to his garrison every 3 days or so because i love the vibe of his garrison more.
I wont say you have to like boralus but it is very convienent. All the city needs are along a straight line that they even made further convenient by adding that extra plank to jump across with the first patch. The access to the ship in the harbor is perhaps the greatest asset difference.
Daz is so massive that the rest area with portal access is on the complete opposite end of the city, up multiple layers, and around the other side of the pyramid from the harbor where the boat is. Up until flying it was plainly faster to use a flightpath to get to or from the harbor and was a good minute or so of flying. Honestly they should put up a portal mage at the harbor, it was a mess to get around.
Oh I won’t disagree with its convenience. I just think its lazy and ugly. I’d personally rather it be more inconvenient and have the professions not in a flea market. I’d rather them fill those empty houses throughout the town with cool npcs and make an area for each profession. But at the end of the day its just varying opinions. I’d prefer it to feel more like an RPG than a conga line of npcs for me to check my daily boxes. If they lined up the prof trainers any more it would feel like PTR with the gear vendors all lined up nice an convenient for you lol.
Yeah, Daz will win out in the long run for lore, looks, and location. Boralus is a pigsty but would have been much more bearable if it wasnt chock full of enemies, then at least it could be a fun to explore pigsty. Feels like they started to give it more personality but then gave up halfway in and just washed it over with mobs and sea algae bluegreen tinting.
that’s how i feel about it too. that’s why think the pyramid is so cool! it’s not as convient but imo it’s much more well done because it feels like a city and not a line of NPCs to train from.
You can if you convert to the Void.
if voidadins existed we’d lose like 1/2 of the horde to faction changes tomorrow.
