since there has been some outrage among various bee mount threads that have been around, previous to this one, allow me to make something perfectly clear about that alliance-only tag in the ptr for the bee mount… the ptr is not set in stone, and is always subject to change, remember how in the bfa beta and ptr kua’fon and the child of torcali both had a horde-only tag by their names in the mount journal? nowadays, in the live version, though you have to be horde to do the quest chains to GET both mounts, you can still RIDE them on alliance, i’m pretty sure blizzard will do the same thing with the bee mount when it goes live, we horde mains will have to pretend to be alliance, just to get the mount, but once obtained, we’ll be able to ride them, for one thing, blizzard barely mentioned a thing about the kua’fon or child of torcali quest chains, but they’ve been teasing us with the bee mount like a stripper tempting you to give her more money to see more, since day 1 of bfa, so the hype is VERY MUCH real, so i highly doubt blizzard will make a mount they’ve been teasing since the beginning accessible to just one faction, in fact, they’ve actually been ENCOURAGING us to do the double agent thing in bfa, not just with kua’fon and child of torcali, but also with the “two sides to every tale” achievement as well, so please, until we see a blue post from blizzard saying “only alliance can ride the bee mount”, let’s not get in an uproar and think clearly
If I’ve correctly understood what i’ve read about the grind required to actually unlock the mount, I don’t think I’ll have to worry about whether or not there’s a faction tag.
i know, just that in previous bee mount threads i’ve read, there have been some of my horde brethren getting their undies in a bunch, thinking only alliance will be able to ride it, i was just trying to clarify things for them based on past experiences of having seen alliance players on my server riding both kua’fon and child of torcali, the mounts people CLAIM are horde-only
tl;dr
Paragraphs are your friend.
Also, wow, such run on sentences!
Is English even your first language?
/grammar
What they should do is add the “Requires: Horde race” to the Kua’fon mount.
Why ‘should’ they do that?
Faction flavor. I mean, that is supposed to be a big thing now.
I don’t know…they’ve been blending the factions for sometime now.
What a rude and pointless comment.
isnt the BEE mount going to be a store mount? thought i read that
While most unique mounts have been store mounts, other than very special once every few years a questline… this seems to fall into the area of the latter… they wouldn’t be hyping it up for so long if it were just a store mount.
It looks like an ingame alliance only questline.
I think the same of any post that’s just a wall of text .
I haven’t read anything on that yet. I had assumed it was a similar to the pterodactyl and triceratops mounts w/ a series of dailies that takes about a month to complete.
Is it more than that?
And so what if English is not a poster’s first language? Do you judge a person by the nationality of their parents?
I was once told, at a work party, that I might as well go make the coffees and leave the discussion to the “men”, as with English being my second language I wouldn’t be able to follow the discussion concerning overseas deals anyway.
So I explained to my monolingual mates English was not my second language, it was my 22nd, and showed them how their lack of cultural understanding was hindering their currently futile attempts to gain acceptance in overseas markets.
It is actually, the rep involved sells a number of class spells and glyphs such as:
Personally I dont mind if I have to get them on Alliance side but they better be BoA or have a Horde equivalent because every hunter should have the right to summon bees at their enemy
I still dont understand what all the darn buzz is all about over a stupid bee mount…
I’ll see my way out
No way. We need more diversity.
Give the Horde wasps.
That would be fine too but also the bees. Then we can move on to angry butterflies.
Oh, well that is pretty cool and will now give my hunter something to do.
He is a slacker. Looking all tall and out of proportion, loafing around all day complaining his tree house burned down.
