Beast master was big in PVP in… Tbc I believe. And I know most people spec mm for the big aimed shot crits and ranged damage buff.
Aside from faster leveling did anyone stay beast master at 60? Or survival for that matter? I imagine bm is useless for raids because pet would die to aoe.
Beast Mastery is the spec that doesn’t scale well on the class that doesn’t scale well. It can be okay at lower gear levels before MM/Surv overtakes it and you can just pop Bestial Wrath and hope to kill things.
Personally I preferred 0/21/30 on my Hunter for PvP in Vanilla
It was also very popular and powerful before patch 1.7
After Patch 1.7 SV and MM became more popular and considered more powerful.
BM can still work out, you just need to play and gear differently to be effective. Just know your pet does not scale in Vanilla and play accordingly.
There really is no reason to stay BM once you hit 60. Just go MM and wreck faces.

Im not getting the whole leeway and hunter thing. Are you complaining because you are running with your back to them? If you are facing them you can’t shoot someone that is close enough for leeway to even be impactful. Im just not buying this bandwagon complaint.
Idk how leeway works on beta aside from the videos but I think the thing is with spell batching ppl can hamstring or slow you from further. Dunno for sure. But I do know know they said if someone is frozen but holding a movement key it gives them leeway distance.
Either way not trying to derail thread just what I heard on how it effects funters.
Do orcs make 60 bm any better or still marks by a long shot.
Spell batching and traps is indeed troublesome and I believe they (Blizz) consider it to be working as intended.
There’s nothing better then having a rogue open up you and you trinket the kidney shot, then scatter shot/fd/trap run away and aim shot boom dead
bm to level then respec marks at 55ish
The biggest difference is that the Exotic Pet talent wasn’t added until Wrath, so you can have the same pets in all 3 specs. You have to choose between if you just want your pet to be a cosmetic or if you actually want to increase its damage.
Trueshot Aura was a lot more useful for groups which made Marksmanship way more appealing back then. Survival was more meant for pvp if that’s your thing, better traps, slows, stuns and increases your health.
