They gave BM a bow and nerfed it. They gave buffs to compensate, then nerfed those. Now we are a toilet brush spec. They don’t actually care

AoE is good. ST is below garbage.

For raid which is mainly ST , it’s garbage.
For m+, AOE is good only if you do massive pulls, but given the current m+ pool, you will GG die if you do massive pulls as there’s a lot of crazy dangerous mobs that needs priority control and target damage.
The timers are meant for you to do it safe. Especially at this stage where stamina of players are on the low side and healers are about to throw in the towel.
So right now, BM is not worth playing

“Garbage” of course, depends heavily on what content you’re doing. BM is fine for heroic raids, especially if you’re good.
But you’ll do substantially more damage on the boss in MM and even more as SV. If you’re not doing Mythic, and not doing second-half of Mythic, BM is OK.
In keys, the buff helped a lot, but we’re still not great unless the pulls are big. Our AoE is largely uncapped. The trick is, we have a ramp up, and it has to be done right. Make sure you’re at two stacks of frenzy, that the debuff from death chakram is up, bestial wrath is running, and beast cleave is up before that first Kill Command. But you should get six Kill Commands in before BW falls, if not more, and that is a ton of AoE damage.
Just play something else.
Hunter is doomed to be irrelevant until they fix our group utility and survivability. Most other classes bring more to the table, either through more damage, or better group wide abilities and affects.

Hunters being fragile is outdated. As of 10.1, our survivability is fine.

Yeah, I have so much health, especially if I don’t have to lust and can have health pets.

And I completely agree with him. The only problem with hunters staying alive is the players panicking at the keyboards smashing all their cooldowns all at once and not pacing them out according to the incoming dmg.

Or you have your lust pet out so you have less HP and completely lose a defensive.

Dumb question but is there an easy way to track bw?
I have my 4 piece, actually all 5 pieces. I like to think it makes up for not getting the Rasz bow until the last week of last season. Anyway, despite being 8 ilvls ahead of my other hunter who still has all 4 pieces from last tier set, this hunter only does a little more than 2k dps.

Despite the absurd class balance this season, blizzard did manage to balance out hunter’s specs. All specs do similar aoe and st dmg, but it’s just all of them are trash, unfortunately.
