Might be that it’s neither, it’s a beast of the SL that’s 1/2 way between both.
Cheaper to reuse models then make new one that’s why bud.

Just because they use the bear rig doesn’t mean it’s not a new model.
If Bronx would’ve been their mount I would’ve been Venthyr in a heartbeat.

You have any idea how much it costs the pay someone to make a new rig? Never said it wasnt new reskin is cheap compared to a from scratch design especially for a rando npc mob.
I think that’s what they where trying to go for, but Bronx is pretty iconic in his looks and move sets that would probably have a CaDC letter fast lol.
So used old skeleton and map a new skin on it, with stone born tool tip labeling and boom. Dollar store knockoff lol.

Yeah, the “bears” in Shadowlands are some of the ugliest/dumbest looking models in the game.
Bear dog is a beast in it own right nothing more nothing less.
