Why hasn’t Blizzard ever reached out to this amazing gentleman and see if he could help with some of the soundtracks? He is amazing.

Think he’s pushing their own music, and hoping that Blizzard likes it enough to get a job.
He’s the guy behind the God of War ps4 OST and Godzilla: King of the Monsters OST.
He’s real talented.

With that said, it is really so hard to take ten seconds to do a quick search instead of being the smug person that has to be that guy?

It’s not a smug attitude to ask who any person is. It’s common sense that once you suggest someone, you should bring in some examples of his music so that others can remember or recognize his music.
That being said, Bear McCreary is quite busy doing the Rings of Power score, and I doubt Blizzard is willing to spend a big deal to get him to make some music for WoW.

From what I’ve heard of the PS4 God of War soundtrack I would definitely agree that Bear’s musical talents could be put to very good use in this game. This game is similar enough in setting and tone that he could probably just repeat what he did for God of War.
What I mean by that is this is also a fantasy game where we spend an awful lot of time “killing gods”

Hmm. Not sure who. Did a search. Seems pretty decent. Nothing really impactful to stand out against other fantasy genre composers.
Impactful like Nine Inch Nails / Trent Reznor winning a random Oscar for Disney’s Soul for ost.
Reznor co-won his Oscar with Atticus Ross and Jon Batiste. McCreary’s work is renowned and has been nominated for and won a variety of awards, including a BAFTA Games win. Importantly, he has the aptitude to score a number of themes within WoW.

FWIW Blizz let go their dedicated in house composer (Glenn Stafford) somewhat ‘recently’. So they are in no mood to pay for music. I’ve been saying for awhile now that blizz could use with a major audio overhaul as their music doesn’t feel epic anymore. The boss fight music is just there?
Or maybe hire Hans Zimmer. Not asking for much.

He did an amazing job for MoTU: Revelation as well.
Miracle of Sound would be awesome,or Harald Kloser and even Two Steps From Hell.
Or all 3. That would be epic in game music composition to me.

Because he probably values his own talent, and therefore, won’t work for free.
I’m sure they let go the last guy because he was getting paid more than the people they decided they could replace him with…
