So let me get this right… you screw up, give Druids the bear forms from OG legion which is obviously easy to implement, yet push a lame update to take them away… wow… slow clap starting to remember why I stopped subbing to this garbage game so long ago. From stupid design and nerf choices to greedy monetization, Blizz is a trash company that doesn’t allow players to have fun or enjoy the game anymore. The main thing for this complaint thread is the fact you couldn’t just leave the damn forms in for players, you had to take them away. Its ridiculous that new players will see these forms (Mainly Werebear) and NEVER be able to get them outside of the BS Mage Tower fight and F that!, Or a Rare in the Emerald Dream with one of the lamest drop rates ever. Stop being stupid an allow people to earn these forms, you screw up and showed it is easy to put BACK into the damn game. Go ahead and flame me now for having an opinion, the community is the other garbage part of this game.
I beat the mage tower but only have the Legion skin. It was a kick in the teeth to log in and see them gone this morning. Just made me want to turn the game off and go do something else. The people that run this game are a joke.
They deserved to be taken away but they needed to make them re-earnable. Blizzards incompetence just keeps swinging its ugly head.
The silence from Blizzard on this is deafening.
The problem I think a lot of people have is there are no “natural” looking werebear options outside of the mage tower skins
You have the fel bear, which is just a lazy design. It’s entirely one color. Black on black on black. No depth, no dimension, just lazy. To hide this they slapped demon hunter tattoos on top, which make zero sense because Druids don’t use fel
Then you have the rune bear…. He’s made of rocks. Yeah we have rock bear forms but nobody uses them. They’re the least popular. Not to mention the runebear is far bulkier than the werebear and doesn’t have the same silhouette.
They need to add a natural looking werebear option. Even just 1. Make it red or brown or something basic. Just a bear looking werebear

There wasn’t even supposed to be a werebear available. Community is never happy even when blizzard throws you a bone.
I guarantee if the fel version was locked people would be saying it’s better and unfair. People just can’t accept there’s something they can’t have.
Agreed and the emerald dream rares are ridiculous with how fast they die for something that takes HOURS to spawn
If you didn’t get them during Legion, you didn’t deserve them through a bugged handout.
Blizzard needs to put more skins into the game for druids.
People are hyper fixated on the MT because there aren’t a lot of options for an upright bear that looks badass, or cats in general. Sure there is fire cat form, but we still could use more choices.
Midnight is the perfect excuse to see new bear/cat glyphs or barber shop choices pop up with the Haranir. The Loa are another influence that could lead to exotic cat/bear forms.
Blizzard said the MT forms are gone so it’s time to focus on trying to persuade Blizzard to give us more forms.
Yeah, 100% agreed. Blizzard needs to make new customization for all animal forms. Anything short of a full rework of that is a disgrace at this point. We need options to make our druid forms look as unique as possible.
It sucks that most druids look the same. We’re the only class that can’t have true character expression, no customizing or mogging, to make ourselves look cool while we go through 90% of the game.
What’s even worse is that a Midnight boss, Nalorakk, looks cooler than any base druid bear form. It is long overdue for something, anything, new.
Maybe if it were a nightmare form.
Fel form makes no sense and whoever came up with it should never cook again.
People can, and they do. But they’re also allowed to ask and advocate for other things too.
I’ve always advocated for a recolor. Originals can stay locked, that’s fine.
At the end of the day though, the Felbear was lazy. 1 color, slap DH tattoos on top. Done. Blizzard should’ve done better.
It’s particularly disappointing in the case of the bear because these forms aren’t just an armor set like they are for other classes. They’re a character customization. You spend 90% of your time in that form as a tank. They could’ve taken even a tad more care in designing the recolor. Maybe make it furry like the OG but give a dark green toned fur to represent the legion theme, idk.

Sure, I have no problem with people voicing their opinions. I’m just saying the original intent was to never make the werebear available again. Blizzard made 2 different versions -intentionally-, to keep the original look for the people who completed the original mage tower.
The fel-werebear was a way to give druids access to the model while keeping the original look unique.
So anything that you have from WOTLK expac raids or dungeons you shouldn’t be allowed to have by that same standard if you didnt play during that Xpac. (2008 to 2010) Any achieves after 2010 you shouldnt be allowed to have any of those drakes.
Ehh. The better comparison would be something like the Trial of the Grand Crusader faction mounts, which were actually removed after Wrath ended.
There have always been things that just kinda can’t be picked up after the given expansion ends. Some of them make sense, some don’t. The Legion Mage Tower appearances aren’t the same as an AOTC mount, and Blizzard went out of their way to specify during that timeframe that those appearances wouldn’t come back.
I don’t really feel any particular way about it, personally. I wouldn’t mind a chance to get more of them, but I also understand why Blizzard has (at least currently) opted to not allow acquiring them.
I really dont give a hoot what I look like, HOWEVER …
I had a trip to the barber shop the other day and couldnt believe i have like 18 or so different Bear ‘re-colours’ (thats all they are) yet any other class can have hundreds of different trans-mog options just for a helm piece.
The mage tower forms (or any other Druid forms) should be available to get 24/7/365 no arguments about it.
Imagine if they took away Dragon Form for that Dracthyr race or said, you can only get Dragon form during Dragonflight expansion …
Druids had saberon forms for awhile and took those away, still baffles me to this day that Blizzard is ok with a werebear form but not a werecat form.
There are also so many cool base skins Blizzard could freshen up for druids, like the mana sabers or lynxes.
And IMO if druids can use a ghostly skin like “ghost of the pride mother,” that means they could potentially find other “ghost” forms with the same traits as the MT skins.

Well taking away dragon form from dracthyr isn’t the same because Blizzard didn’t take away all cat forms or all bear forms from druid. Maybe taking away half the barber shop options would have been a better comparison or saying some scale colors and horn options were DF only.
Also evokers can’t spend 24/7 in caster form, since they have deep breath (barring toys or disguises).
Well back in vanilla, you actually had to ‘earn’ your forms, it wasnt just handed to you like today, but yeah, my comparisons is a little over the top but Im just trying to make a point haha
