Beacon to the Beyond

Beacon to the Beyond - Item - 10.1.0 PTR (wowhead.com)

Considering the Kharnalex Staff thread that already exists I feel emboldened to make a thread on this Trinket.

The Trinket’s description mentions An’shuul, the Cosmic Wanderer coming into Azeroth from the Gates to the Void thanks to the Beacon of Beyond serving as a beacon.

What are the chances that An’shuul is infact An’she himself? It would mean the Sun flying across Azeroth’s sky is just a Sun and not An’she.

The guy thanks to the Old Gods’ schemes it seems has descended into the Void due to Elune dropping everything to shine her light on the world to search for the Blue Child when she left her.

What does he do? Move through enemies after being drawn out of the Void via a beacon before returning to it. It’s like the guy has no motives besides moving along his usual path which the Old Gods are responsible for directing him to.

Incidentally the form of the Cosmic Wanderer may provide clues as to the Winter Queen’s exact nature as the Eternal Ones are Robots with specialized Souls shoved into them.

If the Cosmic Wanderer is a glowing Star then both Elune and the Winter Queen may have been glowing Stars themselves grabbed by the First Ones(whom the Titan Keepers have awareness of) and added to the Life and Death Pantheons. That would mean that An’shuul was missed by the First Ones thanks to the Old Gods’ “wound” upon him.

That also means the Old Gods were already on Azeroth when the First Ones started perfecting their Pantheons and Cosmic Realms.

I have often postulated that the Eternal Ones are some outside essences the First Ones either captured or contained or “saved from destruction”. As if the First Ones created vessels for spirits that were about, yet incorporeal.

That is how I can explain Elune and The Winter Queen having a communication breakdown :

Perhaps Elune and various other deities existed, and Elune is one of the few who remain. She had a sister who was destroyed to the point of being disembodied- and the First Ones found her sister’s essence, and tried to format it into a robot.

Perhaps The Winter Queen is the product of The First Ones trying to make sense out of the remaining essence of Elune’s sister - but Elune still exists beyond even the scope of the First Ones.

Incidentally Zovaal’s Chains of Domination provided the Devourers a means of entering Zereth Mortis so he could just be a powerful Devourer they shoved into a Robot.

That leads to questions on what Souls Denathrius, the Archon and the Primus were.

Why a Devourer’s Soul was deemed appropriate for the Arbiter is likely due to the Devourer’s being beasts and thus not being expected to have bias.

Pelagos was sorted to Bastion because he was perfect for the role of Arbiter yet there was no Afterlife built for that purpose so Bastion was the closest the Robot Arbiter could get. He was the best Soul for the Arbiter position unlike the Devourer Zovaal and mere emotionless Machine that that succeeded Zovaal.

The Primus says: The Winter Queen is bound to her counterpart in the realms of Life. Together, they embody the balance of the great cycle.
The Primus says: Through sorrow and understanding, the night fae sigil has been reborn. And perhaps their kinship as well.

Elune is clearly in the Gardens of Life so the First Ones grabbed both Elune and the Winter Queen but not An’shuul.

They missed one of the Gods while scouring the Multiverse for them.

An’shuul if anything would be best served being converted to one of the members of the Pantheon of Shadow I would presume since he is in their Cosmic Realm.

Incidentally the Pantheon of Shadow presumably did a good job of cleaning out the Void if the Void’s change in motivation is any indication. Originally the Void wanted to eat everything leaving nothing left but after the rise of the Pantheons of the First Ones it’s now about saving the Universe from the 7th Cosmic Force.
