I suspect 99% might be a slight exaggeration. I use the recount addon , and I regularly heal myself north of 60% total healing. It also has a useful feature that allows you to broadcast in raid chat how much healing has been done.
As a healer ,you cant just pick and choose who not to heal . That doesnt help your team have a chance at winning doing that .
Welcome to being a healer. Damned if you do, damned if you donât.
And then people wonder why there arenât more of us.
As someone who has played over 5500 random BGs as a Tauren resto druid, let me tell you this; you will spend 95% of the time in bear form and healing yourself. On Horde side no help is coming. None. Best thing you can hope for is cross heals with another healer (honor amongst healers, we keep each other alive first).
And heaven forbid your team loses and the Alliance healers did more healing than you, then the loss is your fault. Never mind that you had three players training you the entire time and the Alliance healers were standing there free casting the whole match, or never mind that you were playing objectives, the loss is your fault.
Thankless job, but it does give you a much better chance of winning, so there is the tradeoff.
A LOT of a healers heals do go towards themselves just to keep themselves alive.
And of course rolling a healer doesnât make you immune, but there is a huge difference between âgo kill yourselfâ âyour mom should have aborted youâ and actual criticism.
âhey I see you are dying a lot, have you tried xyz defensive macros that target just you ⌠like for example a macro that is set to trigger just holy word: serenity on just yourself. (I have one and I call it my âoh s***â macro)â THAT would be constructive and calm criticism.
Screaming insults and raging all in caps helps exactly nobody.
Youre the toxic one for refusing to play your role to certain people because of how sensitive you are. Dps have the right to tell a healer when they should be doing better, just like everyone else. dont feel entitled because you are finally trying out healing and you suck at it so far, you little rat. learn to vortex and leap to friend and pillar you helpless woman
people who take their emotions too sensitively, and left it affect a game, disgust me.
I just wish Healers would stop breaking my CCs. I AM TRYING TO HELP STOP ATTACKING AND HEAL!!! lol
Hey thanks for proving our point about what we have to deal with in pvp as healer.
You can actually.
As a healer you are pretty much always choosing who to heal and who not to heal in a hectic situation. It depends on whose health is critical, how close they are to an objective, etc.
Sometimes that means choosing not to heal a player because I determined that the heal would be better served going to someone else, and hoping that the player doesnât die before I get to them. Ask the people I queue with, I donât follow them around like a puppy dog healing them exclusively to the detriment of the outcome of the match.
Yea I donât heal pandas.
Me neither >.>
You kind of have to do it that way. Do you heal the guy who just leeroyed into the middle, or the one who actually went for the flag. The one who is calling you all retards, or the one who trying to help win the game. The one who is about die, or the one who might can hang on a few seconds more.
And iâm sorry but petty as it may be, someone starts blaming all the worldâs problems on the healers, well, that guy just doesnât get my priority unless he is helping with flags, bases or something useful instead of complaining about everything.
If he is just complaining and not actually doing anything useful, then he tends to get⌠overlooked.
I am a bad healer, after all, in his eyes. So I will take it to the extreme.
You guys know what i ment
i AM the healer you weakling
Then you get another dps
Just tell them to suck a lemon.
still better than a healer who doesnât heal.
I agree. But on the same coin, healing is not so fun either
To me, winning is more important that spiting jerks. If someone is yelling like a spoiled brat, Iâll heal him anyway, while simultaneously praying that after the match is over, someone will spill soda on him or run over his dog.
