this is not 100% true the people asking for high elves (not me, I’m neutral) would have get something at least.
I remember asking for Pandaren Brewmasters
“Listen” is not the same as “do what I say” strangely enough.

Nah, they know about you guys and don’t want to add them because that would be going back on the story direction they took with them.
I mean, we’ve been asking about 3rd faction stuff ever since TBC of all times. Heck, one of the running theories was that Illidan’s forces, made up of BElves, Naga, Broken (Well, Draenei at the time) and Satyrs was gonna be a brand new faction

It’s true. And Blizzard doesn’t take into consideration the number of likes nor overall activity of a forum post before they go ahead and implement it into the game.
Was the same with flight.
A small number of people would post on the forums about how great the game would be without flight. I ignored such posts because I suspected that the authors were trolling - that, and surely Blizzard would never remove flight anyway.
Boy was I wrong.
Now we have to be on the lookout every day for obvious troll posts, and respond to them or else Blizzard might think it’s actually what we want.

Players screamed loud about Death Knight Lich Born breaking fears, So Bliz said you know what we heard you so we will remove that skill so you can fear them with impunity.
Blood Elf Arcane Torrent had a 4 second silence Players everywhere got on the forums screamed hard that it was op, so Bliz said okay we hear you and it was changed making casters happy they can cast with impunity.
Priests are doing so much DPS, Players again got on the forums screaming they too stronk, Bliz response we hear our player base and are heavy handed nerfing shadow priests!
Believe me they been listening to your nerf posts, to say Bliz never listens to players is a lie.
