BC Timewalking Vendor - PSA

Just hit 120 and need a quick upgrade? Working through BFA but need a new weapon/oh/shield to try a different spec? Good news!

BC Timewalking has begun! Find Cupri in Shattrath during this event. She offers ilvl 350 weapons for the just hit 120 including dagger/sword/mace main hands, 2 off-hands, crossbow, 2h axe, 2 shields and 2 staves.

All 1h weapons cost 50 timewarped badges, 2h & crossbow are 100 timewarped badges and offhands for 35 timewarped badges.

She also carries cloaks, belts, pants, helms and trinkets if you need any of those as well. Happy hunting!

Or you could do a wq and get a titan proc for some 400+ gear.

No you can’t.
WQ rewards are scaled with your current ilvl. The max you can get is your ilvl +20 (Assuming TF).

Weapons can’t Titanforge…
No need for snark when someone is trying to helpful to others.

Well, there was another thread about someone looking for a decent weapon to switch specs while leveling through BFA - I thought it’d be a good idea to let people know this vendor is up right now for weapons. I myself am finding assassination hard on my rogue at about 116 so I need something else besides daggers to try outlaw again.

Even if it’s for a fresh 120 you just got up, better to start at 350 than 279

Usually I enjoy TW on new alts.
Once 120, run them. I even replaced blue quest azurite armors by TW loots. It works better before you can afford 375 Azerite armor.
In 1 day of TW, you can go from ilvl 300 to 360 very easily. Then run LFR, couple of Mythic 0 and ONLY after all of that start WQ (So rewards scale better)

I did exactly that for both of my alts.

If I remember right at 120 the loot from the dungeons themselves is ilvl 365. Great little head start, especially now we’re a week away from 8.2!

I think the loot is around 350 (Potential for WF)
and vendor reward are 360.

But I maybe wrong here. I’ll check tonight

No +25 at least, if not even a 30 which would be really rare(assuming it doesn’t hit the cap of 425 that is).

I believe it’s

-Vendor gear is 350
-Loot starts at 360 and can go as high as 375
-Quest reward starts at 385 and go as high as:

-385 if you get an Azerite piece
-395 if you get a weapon
-425 if you get anything else

Still, it only worth it after doing all “certain” sources of gear.
I would say :
• Priority 1 : TW quests/mabe 1-2 more dungeuons for fun (It’s TBC, easy!)
• Priority 2 : Warfronts. Assuming fresh 120 : do both
• Priority 3 : LFR. WoD and CoS. CoS tgrinkets even from LFR are good! If money are not tight, I would use 1 coin on last CoS boss for extra loot.
• Finally : WQ
Of cause, you can do WQ while waiting for TW queue to pop. I would recommend not doing gear reward quests. Something like AP/gold. And only do Âľ, try to get higher ilvl before turning in the cache.

Edit : If you hate WQ, do some M0 instead

350 item level? Not great, but not terrible

For a new-minted 120, it’s a Light-send. Especially since this event has a 2-hand axe… my new 120 ret pally will finally be able to ditch that 3-level-old quest green. :face_vomiting:

Given the horrid loot RNG, weaps can take the longest to bring up to snuff, and given the slow incremental increase in WQ loot quality even if you get a usable weapon shortly after dinging, it won’t be much of an improvement. A 350 weap for a few timewalking tokens is a huge improvement.

Shhhhhhhhhhh

Yes, and it’s also true for cata TW.

When I first saw it, I couldnt believe my eyes - my low geared druid around 200 item level was about to make a lot of quests obsolete by obtaining tw gear. No other way to gear up as quickly, it’s aweaome.

Which means it will be nerfed, if not removed… :frowning:

So shhhhhh

Noooo! I’ve been cheesing ilvl with timewalking vendors for a couple expansions now  I try to hit max level on lesser played alts when a good vendor is up.

I figure they leave it in place cause the vendors are so specific with what they carry and they’re only up once every couple months with the older expansions rotations - longer now since WoD was added.

I hope they don’t take it out though cause like Divium said -

I bought two mounts last round. I do have a new 120 for this round. May pick up one mount this time as well. I have 2 tanks that get extra loot and 3 healers that occasionally get extra loot.

In the spirit of TBC, I’m offering Shatrath portals for the same price they were back in a day :
• Trande me what you are willing to give and you’ll have a portal
/w me !
