Is there a macro I could use that casts battle shout every time I hop on my mount ?
No. You can’t use abilities while mounting, and using abilities while mounted will dismount you.

What you asked for is impossible, but if you want to refresh battle shout before mounting you can use
#showtooltip
/castsequence [reset=2]Battle Shout, [mount name]
At least I’m pretty sure mounts obey cast sequences still.

Requires 2 presses, but will pretty much keep your BS up (if it works) without any real thought.

Should probably have worded better, yeah I just find I forget to cast battle shout so I figure if I could get a macro that casts it then proceeded to mount that would be good

Not the same thing, but I use:
#showtooltip
/use [mod=shift][Mount]; Heroic Throw
So I know just linking mounts in works fine. Unsure if it obeys castsequence.
The castsequence should work, but I wouldn’t like a castsequence macro for that, especially if involved in wpvp as my default way to mount. You’ll definitely run into a situation where you want to mount and have to waste a GCD first.
I’d use a weakaura for tracking battleshout (which I bound to Y) instead. I really actually should do that because I forget too, but I’m lazy.
Heres my macro directly from in game. I play prot mostly so you can ignore the demo shout line if you want. Only problems i have are when I need to re-cast battle shout mid boss fight as demo takes priority in combat.
#showtooltip Battle Shout
/cast [combat] Demoralizing Shout
/cast Battle Shout
/startattack
/cast [flyable] Valarjar Stormwing
/cast Prestigious Bronze Courser
you can remove some lines to simplify it down.
/cast Battle Shout
/cast (name of mount you want)

Easier way would be to use a WA that tell you if you dont have BS.
