Battle.net not updating - "waiting on another update"

I’m having issues updating all games in battle.net. It says its waiting on another update but nothing is updating. All other games say the same thing. I’ve restarted battle.net and my PC multiple times. Anyone else having this problem?

Same issue. I tried every troubleshooting method blizzard provided along with all the sketchy youtube methods. Nothing. Hopefully it’s resolved during the maintenance period in the morning.

same issues here

Looks like it just cleared and started updating.

yup just started working

if you have classic. PTR. classic TBC etc besides retail. above the play button click it and pause any updates other then the one you want to update…

I had this problem yesterday - following instructions to “fix” the problem I uninstalled Battlenet App on my windows 11 computer. Now I’m going on 26hrs of not being able to reinstall the Battlenet App. The bar bounces from being 99% to 80% just up down, up down.

Rebooting the computer should stop the other hanging bnet process in the background.

I had the same problem.

Spent hours uninstalling and reinstalling battlenet, and disabling virus programs. A lot of time was burned cleaning up all the files left behind after the bnet uninstall, which required a lot of work due to authority issues. Tip - when you install bnet, do not let it install in ‘program files (x86)’ as you will have problems if you need to delete anything there.

Ended up using my cell phone (different isp to my default home connection) and it worked fine.

this is my setup This PC – Windows-SSD (C:) – GAMES (if you only have one drive or This PC (D:) Games if you have two drives) installed in this folder is --Battle net – World of Warcraft and a few other games. the Battle net and World of Warcraft works best if they are installed in the same folder. look in the task manager for any hanging processes like WowVoiceProxy.exe WoW.exe Agent.exe etc. pause all updates and run update on the games one at a time. if you cannot delete any files because of permission issues use a free program called IObit Unlocker it lets you delete rename or move folders and files
