Hi, so ever since Tuesday my Battlenet launcher has not been saving the password. It still retains the username field but I need to enter password and authenticator code ever time I launch it.
Keep me logged in has been checked and remains checked even though the password field has been forgotten. Allow multiple instances of Battlenet is unchecked.
Sorry for the lack of reply here and hope I can help get the app to remember things.
The first thing I would do here is purge the app and all the extra files it has. Maybe it will remember things if we do this. Perform Steps 1-5 here after that do not reinstall yet but follow these additional steps:
Open file explorer/file manager
Type the following into the address bar (not the search bar): %APPDATA%
Delete the Bnet and blizzard folders inside the appdata folder if they exist.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 with %LOCALAPPDATA% and %TEMP%
Thank you so much for your assistance. However, I regret to inform you that the login details, specifically the password, isn’t being saved to the battlenet launcher.
This issue just started happening to me since Tuesday May 16, 2023. I tried all of your suggestions but it is still having the issue. But for some reason it isn’t asking me for my authenticator code either. I thought that was strange.
What can I do to fix this. It used to be easier to stay as far as memory of my password and just using the authenticator code when needed.
It remembers my ID though.
I just started having this issue myself on May 19, 2023. It’s been remembering my password for years and now suddenly always asks for my password. Haven’t changed any settings on my PC either.
Basically the same statement as Sparklefish. I too have just started getting this issue. May 20, 2023 (edited the date). I did a fresh install of Battlenet, lets see if that works. Been probably 5-7 logins today and it hasn’t remembered it once.
Yes, this started happening for me too. Super annoying. It will remember me if log in/out the same day, but the next day I have to enter my password again (even though the “remember me” box is checked.)
I had the same issue and, because I didn’t read the blue post properly, only did the additional steps (without uninstalling) and oddly that seems to have fixed it.
