Battle.net launcher blocking Nvidia auto GPU select

Just wondering if there’s a fix to this. I tend to like to have it on auto select because some games (IE: Lethal Company) run better with my integrated card over my laptop’s Nvidia GPU.

I have an imgur link of what I’m talking about, however, I can’t post it as I’m not a high enough trust level on the forums.

I currently have to force close battle.net launcher → force NVIDIA GPU only → then re-open and then I can launch the game.

It’s simply tedious and annoying. Just hoping that there might be a solution somewhere.

Do you have wow graphic card set to “auto select” ?

Have you tried setting the battle net app to always use the Nvidia GPU?

I have the in-game setting to force my nvidia GPU. Though normally the process of launching a game my screen with freeze for like ~1 second as the display changes over to the graphics card. With WoW, an error just pops up that tells me an error has occurred. I can’t really tell which the game is using based on that setting.

Is there a specific setting in the battle.net app itself?

Setting is in Windows, go to Settings->System->Display->Graphics, add the bnet app, then tell it to use the nvidia card.

At least that’s how you do it on windows 11, not sure about 10.

The only way I could fix this issue is by going to the Battle.net settings and choosing to have it close when opening a game. Problem disappeared after that.

I tried everything in the windows settings. This is the only thing that seems to work.

thank you for this…I’m about to go into a huge billion-dollar rant on why everything else on my machine works just fine, smooth as silk, but I can’t get WoW to start up.
