Battle.net Launcher Agent is Asleep!

The Battle.Net Launcher has an agent, apparently?

And said agent has gone to sleep?

Anyone else encounter this?

I tried restarting my computer and updating its drivers as the website advised…

When that didn’t work, I deleted the Battle.net launcher (hope that wasn’t a mistake) and started downloading it again. (again, as the site advised)

I launched wow via the wow.exe file in my computer.

I won’t get multiple copies of wow this way, will I? The Battle.net setup download is taking ages to download and I can’t fathom a simple launcher to take this long to download.

I’m currently trying solution #7 which is reinstalling battle.net, its installing currently. I don’t know what to expect, even the blizzard launcher has RNG element to it.

Your not alone I just posted the same subject and others are also effected by this

just reinstalled launcher, same problem.

I responded on another similar topic:

Same thing happened to me. Even the “WOW” icon on your desktop links back to the Blizz Agent. Workaround that works for me; go into the file location, and go into either classic or retail folder, and launch from the icon there. It works for me and I’m able to get into specific game that I want to play. Hopefully works for you guys, too!

This works for me

it didn’t for me… i have an authenticator and when i put it in manually it says something went wrong… irritating to say the least

Same sleep problem here.

From a Twitter user: Pro tip if you open the [http://Battle.net] launcher, and then go into your game location you can run the game.exe and get in perfectly fine!

Reporting in with the same issue. I just boosted a class I’ve been wanting to try too.

yep…asleep still

Same issue here. Frustrating – I need my morning WoW fix!

Friday the 13th… ddos attack?

Glad to see that I’m not alone. This all started after I installed the latest Windows update. I did the launcher uninstall and can’t seem to reinstall. I tried turning off all antivirus and anti-malware protection. Still no good.

I’ve downloaded the files but it won’t let me continue. How very odd.

It’ll allow me to change the file location and to toggle the, “launch when computer is started,” option. But clicking continue accomplishes nothing.

Yup, I can’t login to the game

If your game is up to date, you can launch wow classic directly from the game folders on your computer. But if you’re like me and just re-subd with the game not up to date this method will not work.

So far this worked for me :\World of Warcraft_retail_\Wow.exe

Edit : The retail work around worked and got me logged in but the battle.net app still hasn’t updated.
