Battlenet download and updates are really bad - Please Fix?

I have made many attempts to address battle.net client system in other posts. I have done many things like cache removal, putting in the Direct X 11 instead of 12 (-d3d11) prompt, closing and reopening the client many times.

Here is the problem: Why do I even have to do this? Blizzard you are are AAA gaming industry. You forced everyone to use this Client and you cannot fix these basic issues? I can download anything from my browser and there is no issue. So why is it that your client is a giant piece of crap software? It is not my side, it is your client software. Like I said, I can download from anywhere and it works. I just downloaded a full game on Steams software using my 1 gig google internet speed. This game was 30 gb in size and took a few minutes. Meanwhile, Blizzard you just launched a 30 mb patch on Classic WoW SoD and it was stuck trying to download for 8 minutes?

This is not a my problem, it is a your problem. You have the money and backing to fix this issue. Why are you not fixing your client? I have never seen such a terrible client software, which is being forced to use or you cannot use the companies product. Like I said, it isn’t on my side. I can Download and Update software from my browsers, other gaming clients like Steam, and I can do updates to my computers drivers with ease. It is only your Client software that is the problem.

Please fix your client. Use a few thousand of dollars to pay someone to run diagnostics and put a permanent fix to your software. This is ridiculous that most of the Technical Support issues is related to your Battlenet Client Software.

This has been an issue on the retail side as well. Updates will start downloading, then the progress stops and it just says “initializing” for several minutes but the full download will keep going, then eventually it will finish. Other times I start Blizzard client, nothing about any updates etc but my internet will be flooded by Agent.exe and I have no idea how long it will take on my 10Mbps DSL connection. It’s like Blizzard is holding my game play hostage to their whims.

The launcher uses kilobytes and megabytes to show current speed (KB/s & MB/s).

A 10Mbps (megaBIT) connection is 1.25MBs (megaBYTES). So I imagine your connection will see download speeds at a maximum of 875KB/s showing in the launch, which is 7 megabits/second (7Mbps).

Yes, thank you for telling me what I’ve been painfully aware of for a very long time. I am not confused about Kbit vs Mbit etc. I’m not sure where anyone gets the idea I’m complaining about that. My 10Mbit downloads about 5GByte per hour. When I say I have no idea how long the download will take I’m referring to Agent.exe downloading something but the launcher sitting there acting like nothing is happening the whole time. This will happen at random with no warning and as I said, no indication AT ALL what or why or how big the file is. This started happening (that I can recall) 6-8 months ago. So far this week it hasn’t happened but it’s just a matter of time.
