Battle.net can't find installation

I’m encountering a persistent technical issue with my World of Warcraft (WoW) installation and thought I’d reach out to the community for assistance since the official support section has been unresponsive.

Every time I launch the Battle.net client, it appears as if the game is not installed on my system. Consequently, I’m forced to go through the re-installation process repeatedly, despite the game being installed on my computer. I’ve tried various troubleshooting steps, but the client simply does not detect my existing installation.

If anyone has experienced a similar issue or knows of a potential solution, I would greatly appreciate your insights and assistance in resolving this matter.

Do you have the game installed somewhere other than the default location? You can also check BattleNet> settings> downloads> Default Install Directory to see where it’s being installed.

Installed on an SSD External drive connect via USB-C. World of Warcraft is the only game having this issue. Diablo IV and Overwatch are just fine. Besides the constant updates every 2 minutes. I’d like to also note WoTLK works fine and is detected by BattleNet but not retail which both titles are on the same drive.

I’d suggest the tech support forum. They’re good at this stuff.
