Battle.Net and Authenticator - still asking for a code

Just curious about this. I was resetting my password (I haven’t logged in in a while) and it required an authenticator code even though I switched to Battle.net app sometime ago. It required the code for the change and then the approval from BNet once I made the change. When I was logged in I checked my security and it shows I have the BNet status as active. So why is it still asking for authenticator code? I was mainly asking as I didnt want it to cause a problem once authenticator went away. I was looking around this forum and googling without many results toward this specific instance.

Thank you!!

The authenticator code now comes from battle.Net.

It is still authentication.

But it took me to the old authenticator app (even gave the warning it was going away) that I still had on my phone for a code, it didn’t go to the Bnet app. Once I go the code then it went to the Bnet app for approval. Unless you’re saying that is where the code is supposed to come from?

Thank you for the reply btw!

Once you have the new battle.net completely set up, you are supposed to uninstall the authenticator .

They are not supposed to coexist any more.

Ok will do! Thank you!
