Title. I’m playing and all is good then I get the Windows pop up thing asking me if I want to make changes the the battle.net client. ding ding sound… what did I miss? Happens like every hour or so.

Try restarting your pc, and make sure the launcher is given admin permissions. In PC, right click and run as admin.
What kind of OS do you use?

I actually did a fresh installation of win 11 and wiped everything a week ago - its been happening since then… so will check out your link. Never happened before that for 10 years lol

Same here. Every hour or so the bnet agent needs an update (allegedly) and I get the popup and then nothing happens to bnet. Always pops up at a bad time and clearly this shouldn’t be happening.
This is also happening to me every hour so. I came here to post about it and saw this thead.

just got my new PC, and since 3 days ago it has been giving me multiple bnet updates, it is getting annoying and no one seems to have an answer for this.
Having the same issue. Battle.net updater is trying to download an update when the app says I’m up to date. I have the pause updates when a game is launched option checked and it still attempts to update
