These savages can’t be reasoned with. They form server tribes and have doomsday prophecies of aliens that look just like them coming from parallel dimensions to kill them in battlegrounds. When the day of reckoning is upon them they will forsworn the atrocity that is battlegrounds and devote themselves to the old ways. Forming roaming packs that seek open world gank opportunities on unsuspecting individuals and camp them as long as possible.
Luckily this one is only a lvl 10 warrior; I should be able to take him. It is a dwarf though and not a true troll so this could be dangerous, but I must put him down before he grows into a real threat. The fact that he is Alliance will not halt my blade. Have at thee uncouth naïve!
Not everyone wants to pvp alongside and against complete randoms every day.
Maybe. But they fudged on Dire Maul. So maybe they won’t.
For a lot of people, they play for the community aspect of WoW. They care that they see familiar faces in PvP and I’d rather be in a queue than in a BG with random faces.
This. I fully intend to afk most AVs and I couldn’t care less if people cry about it. It’s by far the worst BG and I’m there for the rep and never again after.
I imagine it would go down about as well as twink only BG’s did, hey we’ve got this super popular unique playstyle and there’s tons of people who like it, wait why are queues never popping when we only play with people who feel the same way?
A battlegroup of 4-5 servers would not be a group of complete randoms. You’d start to recognize names from other servers relatively quickly, if you even cared to look.
How did they fudge Dire Maul?
Again, you’ll start to see familiar faces even in CRBGs if they do battlegroups of 4-5 servers like the should if they do CRBGs.
4-5 servers? Maybe not. I don’t recall them being only 4-5 servers though. I want to say they were 10-15+ servers.
Moving it to a phase beyond “launch content” after players cried that you could “break” progression with it lmao
And how much socializing do you do with those players inside warsong gulch? how are you going to whisper them after the match and say “hey man, wanna group up for some silithus pvp?”
What a well thought out and reasoned argument. I guess wow started loosing subs after they added it… oh wait, it actually continued to gain subs for 2 xpacs before it finally started going downhill in that regard.
At the end of the day it amounts to them doing something you don’t like.
I’m sorry, I don’t remember BGs being a hug fest and the place to talk about your day. If you want to sit there and chat, you can do it outside the BG. Talking about the latest movie coming out in the BG itself is kind of counter productive. You can have plenty of engaging chats with the pvp community when you’re not supposed to be killing the other team or trying to achieve the objective of the BG.
Nah. I couldn’t care less. I actually like it because then guilds won’t be able to cheese MC as easily.
Never said it was. It was a place to me and many others to foster relationships with people from other guilds you might not have run into otherwise. These relationships go a long way when it comes to forming a dungeon group, asking for help on a world boss, trading end game materials, etc.
How do I whisper and group up with someone from a different realm when I’m not doing BGs?
Okay and on a small battlegroup, you’re still going to run into people from your server. It’s not like you’ll only ever been grouped with people not on your server.
There is this really handy thing that is part of the Bnet integration called communities. You can invite them to one for your battlegroup and then chat with them all day long. I hear it even has voice capabilities. If that doesn’t work for you, you can also make a discord server for your battlegroup.
How do I group up with them though? How do I help them wipe an opposing guild on Azuregos? How do they help me when I’m getting ganked farming mobs in Hearthglen? How do we help each other collect precious silithus dust and defend Southshore?
Yeah, but the second they go to do content outside of BGs, there’s a chance someone will know of them. “That’s the guy who does nothing in BGs. Kick him.”
If they stay in BGs while AFKing, I’m pretty sure that’s reportable.
By accepting that there are just somethings you can’t do, like in long distance relationships. Group with people on your server and accept that it won’t kill you to have CRBGs.
