For the new servers, does anyone know if they have any matchmaking in place that makes it more likely for groups to face groups and soloers to face soloers? Or will the solo queue just throw you in there against premades mostly?

Most likely, yes. Usually I can’t really commit to a dedicated amount of time, so I don’t try to form groups most of the time. That’s why I use the solo queue. And sometimes the queue is too long and I have to log out. That’s not really fair to do to people you’re trying to form a group with.

If you queue as 5 youll get in a game before the solo player because most people are grouped and the bg will have less single slots to fill just an fyi

Premade v PUG queue guarantees the exact same progression for BGs as always.
premades cannibalize and destroy the PUGs in AB/WSG
PUGs completely quit queueing AB/WSG
premaders begin crying and demanding additional rewards for AB/WSG. This, as always, fails to bring PUGs back to AB/WSG and instead just promotes win trading
Premaders start trying to get premade AVs going thru a variety of tricks and addons. Why? Because they refuse to fight eachother.
if they are able to get AV premades going, AV PUGs bail out as well, making it Premade v Premade in all BGs
all BGs mysteriously completely die out and never pop, despite the protests from Premaders that they “love fighting eachother”
if Premaders cant get Premade AVs going, they whine and cry endlessly on the forums about how much they hate that they cant AV premade “wif dem fwenz” while PUGs are able to access the things they want from PvP (blue set, AV weaps) but eventually, AV dies out anyway because eveyone gets what they were after
This progression has been seen multiple times since 2019. It has not deviated from the above pattern ONCE. Its exactly what will happen again if Premades are put into the same queue as PUGs.
Dont allow it. Save everyone the headache and promote the longevity of your Anniversary servers’ BGs by keeping Premaders quarantined away. They are a plague that actively and happily destroys everything they touch.

I will be highly surprised if they don’t implement the Premade vs Premade Queue system they did for SoD
It helps to make premades actually fight for their honor, and it lets casuals who have limited time or just want to queue with a couple buddies still have a chance to have a good game.
No brainer.

Remember if you want to pvp, play horde. Map and racial imbalances that we have known about for 20+ years wont be changed.
Then start crying about 45min queues by the time bwl comes out.

Yooooo i didnt know they did this for SOD! Just looked it up, thats amazing!! I enjoy joining bgs solo and really enjoy pug v pug skirmishes and would always hateee getting premade stomped which became very frequent. I know the answer is to join my own premade at thr time but this is amazing. I really hope this is in fresh omg the qol on that is immense.

Yeah! Not a lot they did right for SoD, but the BGs Qs were fixed.
