Battleground Premade Solution

Random BGs and Epic BGs can be a terrible experience for newer & returning players looking to PVP due to the sheer number of premades out there currently.

The solution id like to advocate for is to make any party (2-5 players) enter into a random cross faction que automatically. This would severely limit any premade communities’ ability to sync ques so as to unfairly imbalance a match against 10-40 unwittting pugs.

The game already does this queuing system if you que with the opposing faction. It should do this if you are all of the same faction as well. Entering as a solo player things would remain the same so you can continue to play the faction and race of your choosing in random and epic bgs.

I think it’s great that vicious bloodstones are a viable way to make gold for pvpers. However, this new gold making tool also incentivizes grouping unfairly which harms the returning/newer player experience. My goal is to grow wow PvP to more PVErs and new/returning players and I think cross faction queuing for all parties entering bgs and epic bgs would be a small step in this direction.

Oftentimes the rated bg blitz feels much more casual and less sweaty than the unrated versions even at relative high CR/MMr. I don’t think that’s intuitive to new and returning players and should not continue to the degree it is occurring now…

I’ve enjoyed epic bg premades before but ultimately, I think it’s unfair to the 40 ppl your que into. That said, it’s also really fun to enter in bgs with friends and I think social play should continue to be incentivized in wow.

2-5 player groups will continue to have an upper hand with enough skill and coordination but these 2-5 man groups feel drastically more fair than multiple 5 man groups coordinating together.

To the premade fans that enjoy queuing into skilled epic bg lobbies, I say that this should also appeal to you too. You can now have up to 80 players of your community queuing into each other instead of just 40. Find out which of your are the best strategists and leaders!

Thank you for reading

(TLDR: enable random cross faction que random bg and epic bgs for any party of 2-5 even if same faction. No cross faction que for solo players)

blizard leiks premades tho n théy dint even break anythin. ppl just blaem bliz 4 evrything when relly it was just ebg week evn war cheif fell 4 it “oh it mus be bliz” dw u can still q 5 mans np

I’m not blaming blizzard. Blizzard took a step in the right direction when they banned raids from queuing into bgs.

Currently people are circumventing that restriction by all entering the que together at the same time with multiple 5 mans:

By shuffling any party to either horde or alliance, this would prevent people from circumventing that restriction while still allowing them to Que with a group of friends.

OP, you do realize that ~90% of ally solo sync queue, right?

And again, I propose removing merc mode.

Where do you get this stat from?

Also regardless of what the actual number is, it would still would be a benefit to change to my proposed solution so what is your point?

I’m not attached to opt-in merc mode. Seems like a roundabout way to reduce queue times. Many casual players don’t even know about it or where it is half the time. nor are opposite faction queue times readily communicated

I think a party faction shuffle might be a decent way to reduce queue times too anyways. Players don’t have to look up which side needs more players for it to work.

Stats come from the bgs I run every night. My point is that most of the alliance are solo queued and not grouped.

Day 872 of waiting for Cross-Faction Epic BG’s, à la Blitz. Would solve 127% of the “premade problem”.

The best fix would be permanent bans to the people that have been abusing the exploit and fixing the exploit itself.

but tk it is bc we dogde groups so we only c soloists

Just make battlegrounds all cross faction. At this point in modern retail the factions don’t really matter anymore (sadly).

:point_up_2:

Just ignore the hidden profile troll. It’s a solid idea and many of us have suggested the same for well over a year. It would fix the problem. That said, I like your idea in that it would be restricted to only groups.

They would just solo-sync-queue.

People can buy new accounts and resume their queue synch.

True true, but it would help diminish it some. Time for full cross faction!

Then keep banning them. Also, that’s why I said to fix the exploit.

How do you know they’re solo and not grouped?

Though that will make it harder and costlier to do.

Because I am in cross faction communities and see it.
