Battleground Holidays and Realm Adjustments – March 10

Everyone knows that real PvP is getting to 60, getting raid gear and stomping on people not raiding. LRN2PVP people!

In order to have players from different realms in agreement on whether or not a Battleground Holiday is active, with maintenance tomorrow, we will divide all realms in the Americas into two

what kind of idea is that? battlegroups on live were never categorized by time zones.

anyone that has this mind set about twinking is ignorant af. twinking is some of the most competitive pvp in classic if not the most competitive pvp. certainly the most consistently competitive.

agree 100%

First i said that it was YOUR opinion on ‘fixing something that wasnt broke’. I said that according to Blizzard’s design intent to ‘foster community’ that a full XR battleground system is the opposite of the intent. Too many people makes the enemy nameless, which in turn reduces the community feel of pvp as a whole.

This is not taking my personal opinion into account at all. Full XR breaks an aim of the Classic to begin with (forming bonds among the playerbase, in this case rivalrys). Your claiming that increasing battlegroups will not increase these things? Then i would have to refer you to literally every complaint the pvp community had about how pvp feels like your killing nameless and pointless mobs instead of that guy you’ve been fighting with the past 6 months.

Is this an attempt to make the game more authentic to the classic experience? Sure. Will it seriously hamper any communitites @ 60? Honestly? No, it may make it slightly harder to pick up randoms to make a premade BG. Again is that a bad thing? I can not say for certain. I believe its not because then you are forced to look more for specific people. Again, this increases community.

You’ve almost got that right. Real PvP is getting to 60, spending countles hours getting raid gear, queing up in 10 or 15 man premade, when you get in the bg then you DODGE if you run into another premade, try again, get into an AB with a pug, 4 cap, farm the GY until they refuse to rez, then 5 cap repeat. THATS PVP BABY

Stupid change that needs to be reverted immediately

Blizzard is amazing! They found a solution to stop players getting an unfair amount of extra honor and reputation so quickly they didn’t even need the player base to point out the absurdity of the problem.

Maybe this will help stop players complaining about lack of herbs and mining nodes in the open world. If it was a serious enough problem hurting the game Blizzard would fix it for sure.
#nochanges

Please revert this, one reasons this is terrible is Pacific has LESS REALMS = LESS PLAYERS = LONGER QUES, not that ques are any better for Horde. Decision to split realms cause Time Zone differences of ending Battleground ‘‘Holidays’’ is stupid as hell. You not make it hard for the community to host BG Tournament Events etc.!

ours was, at least until towards the end, when it became huge and had non region realms added.
In the beginning when it was like 5 realms, we were all east coast

Fairbanks twinking rip. It was fun while it lasted.

If you have enough twinks there to run a BG, on both sides, you wont have a queuing problem at all

Funny enough there was, but that was before the battlegroup split.

The split did not split your realm in half
You have all the same guys you had before.

So if your realm has an active twink community on both factions, you should have no queue issues.
Might even dominate the queues

Nope. There was tons of games going before, now at many hours theres 0 games in the 19s bracket on West coast.

This is a joke and needs to be reverted IMMEDIATELY or people are unsubbing.

sounds like if you are interested in twinking you need to go on an east coast server. its an unintended thing for people to twink which is why they removed all twinking later on.

Ok listen
IF you can find no twinks to play with, it means there are not actually that many of them, and nearly none on west coast servers at all.

If that be the case, there wont be that many people unsubbing.

I mean come on, you only need 20 people to play WSG
If there are not 20 people in the 19 twink bracket in the entire PST realm battlegroup, then there do not seem to be that many?

If it was unintended for players to access bgs prior to level 60, then they would not be able to queue for games prior to level 60. This change greatly inhibits players lower than level 60 to queue for games. Therefor this change should not be applied to lower level brackets that do not have the same population as max level brackets, so that they can continue to use the bgs that they were always intended to have available to them.

As has been stated already. There was no problem prior to this change. Blizzard split everyone in half and now there is an issue. Players should not need to spend more money to fix a change that was done without legitimate reasoning. The reason that blizzard has provided is nonsense. Otherwise the EU would be split into different battlegroups as well due to the time zone differences.

Stop defending a change that wasn’t necessary.

We have the numbers, but as fate turns out, it appears that many of the horde guilds rolled on west coast and many alliance ones rolled east coast. This has caused those brackets to become incredibly skewed as their competitive player bases are now no longer matching against each other. This is resulting in imbalanced games, and obviously driving up queue times.

they introduced pvp under 60 for people to enjoy pvping before they hit 60. not so you could get max gear and level 60 enchants on level 19’s so you can 1-2shot non-twinks who happen to queue for fun between quests.
