This is actually an awful change. AV times for Horde are now close to 2 hours. Cutting the already limited pool of players in half just for a 3 hour difference in BG holidays is absolutely the worst idea you could’ve ever envisaged. Shorten queue times, 3 hour difference be damned.
Hard to enjoy pvp when Blizzard splits the servers up so that levelers likely wouldn’t get games without the assistance of twinks, especially outside of peak hours. I played a game the other day at 39 where both sides were all pugs, and yet all twinks. A hefty portion of the players that are queuing for these lower level bgs are twinks, and they are the ones that are trying so hard to keep their communities alive. We aren’t here to farm levelers. We want solid games, its why you see twink discords organizing premade days to face off against each other. If you want all lower level players to suffer because of some jaded view you have regarding twinks, you can take your petty hatred elsewhere.
Great AB is out! Not getting any games at all to enjoy it with though -_- I was in queue for WSG 3 hours yesterday and gave up.
part of the problem here is that lots of twinks transfered realms to play with specific guilds. In the 29 bracket lots of major horde guilds are on west, while lots of major ally guilds are on east. Not only did it increase the queue time it killed a lot of competition.
You’re off topic. The pros and cons of twinks have been debated endlessly in the pvp forum (feel free to go there and see every argument ever made for/against).
This topic is concerning an unnecessary -yet debilitating- change that was made with no warning. Many people would like that reverted, before they’re left with no choice but to unsub.
Blizzard, this patch divided the already-small playerbase in sub-60 level battleground pvp brackets. Queue times went from 1-15 mins, to 45-1 hour, if at all. Before the patch, we could find a game at any time of day playing against East and West servers. This change was catastrophic, and took away the only utility the game had left for me. If this is not amended, the game will die and you will lose money, customers, subscribers, and reputation. Please show you care for your playerbase, and find another way to implement the holiday. But please do not keep us divided.
That is more due to AB all by itself, than anything to do with battlegroups
Blizzards logic right now:
“ignoring the problem is more plausible than denying it exists”
You killed WSG for pugs. You killed AV for ally pugs. And now you killed WSG for low levels.
Seriously, what the hel is wrong with you?
This is stupid blizzard CHANGE IT BACK NOW!
Arguments in the forums are more interesting now that people have grown up.
The only low lvls i get mad at are the ones that are lvl 10 queing in for the 15 HKs so they can try to play the ranking system to their benefit otherwise let them play! Anyways screw blizzard i aint resubbing till they fix the sub 60 BGs
we got plenty of time to troll the forums since WE ARE IN QUE LOL
Any update on fixing this mistake?
Press F to pay respect.
Honestly have no idea why this was ever an issue. If the holiday bonus start at say 8pm then you should start getting the bonus when your server time says 8pm. It has nothing to do with time zones.
Stop ruining the game we waited a decade to play.
The worst thing about this is that they sprung it on NA with only a very short notice. Not only that but they deemed this change completely Unnecessary in EU as they remain a singular battlegroup. For some reason they thought splitting the NA PVP population would be a good change for the long term health of the game. A lot of people disagree…
I dont think the EU servers themselves have more than 1 time zone, and i think in general, most of the EU kind of revolves around only 2 timezones?
Please respond @Blizzard - please revert the East Coast/West Coast separation so we can continue the rivalries we had, continue the friendships made and continue playing the game, the way we want, with Battlegrounds going at all hours of the day with little to no queue times. It wasn’t broken, it didn’t need ‘fixing’.
