We’ve all played in random battlegrounds enough to have a few good stories of the tactical blunders and follies we’ve witnessed. Share your stories here so we can have a good chuckle, commiserate, and maybe even learn a few things.
Here are a couple of mine:
Drowning in Arathi Basin
We were waiting for the game to start in Arathi Basin when I asked the only death knight in the group to give us Path of Frost so we could storm across the moat and jump on to BS earlier than running on the road. He did, and when the gates opened, most of the team charged for BS across the moat. Half way across, we all sank into the water and were sitting targets for the horde because the DK decided he was going to LM instead. /facepalm
Flag? What Flag?
In the same Arathi Basin match as above, I was guarding the flag at the mines with a feral druid who was stealthed. We were both sitting next to the flag when a mage came from the horde side. He was baiting us to chase after him, which means, of course, there was probably a stealthed horde nearby ready to cap the flag if we left it. So, I figured I would draw out that stealthed horde by taking the bait, leaving the feral druid to rake him a new one. However, I guess I was expecting too much (or at least I should have told the druid to stay put) because a few seconds after I engaged the mage, the druid pounced and joined the fight. No sooner did I turn to run back to the flag then I saw a rogue, capping it. /smh
So, what stories do you have to share?
