Battle Worms bugged

Quest Name: Battle Worms
Issue: Naxa can not be attacked. Auto evades when it comes up, releases 2 guys and then quickly sumerges. Tried attacking, get evade error. Trand standing on his spawn point spamming AE and still get the evade error. I did notice from time to time a Rivermane Shaman that is standing near by shoots a beam at him. I wonder if she is holding a tag on Naxa and neither will reset. If so, then despawning her will fix it. The Shaman is at 53, 58.
Without this quest I can't complete the zone. I've tried dropping the quest and re getting it as well as leaving the zone and coming back.
This is a critical bug as it prevents future content such as Flying since you HAVE to complete the main quests.
I opened a ticket in game but the estimated wait time is 24+ hours.

for anyone still with this problem, stand directly on top of him when he spawns and fight, he wont evade

This worked for me. Critical bug though. Just experienced. Bumping since this issue is 4 months old and has yet to be addressed.

Still bugged. Kind of hard to spam AOEs when you don't have any.

*Eta- someone else tagged it and I jumped in. There should be a better way.

Still bugged. Standing right on top of him as mentioned above worked for me.

Still bugged as of Patch 8.0

Repro steps are incredibly straight forward. Temp solution seems to just be sitting ontop off the spawn and it prevents him from despawning. I know its an old expac now but i think this really needs to be addressed as its a massive hindering issue for leveling through HM.

Standing on top of him did the trick.

Wonder why they don't just fix it...
