Yup, for those of us who heal and have always healed it’s looking like we have to drop all healers but a resto druid. I think I speak for all who maybe don’t want to be forced to heal mythic plus on a resto druid. The idea that there will be no other way but to bring a class (or ideally even two) with a battle rez is a real drag. For someone who mained on a priest healer in 8.3, has worked much harder than most, and was habitually turned down in favor of a resto druid–Blizzard will really and royally make the balancing problem between healers even worse with this. One word: Outrage!
Why the outrage, and why the post? Engineering Brez is going by the wayside in SL. Yup, read that twice if you didn’t get that the first time.
What is the end result going to be? Bottlenecks. Why? Because the rage quitters are going to quit. Your key is going to be bricked. And you are potentially going to waste your time unless you invite at least one of those three classes of the twelve classes in the game. That’s right. There are twelve classes in the game and only three will have brez. Also, warlocks do play mythic plus, but it is no secret that dungeons tend to be more attractive to melee. Hence, one of those three will already be underrepresented.
Solution: Tanks: Your only option is Dk, unless you want to wait longer. Healers: Roll a resto druid–they are already OP and have everything: healing, utility, mobility, stealth, single target healing, damage, defensives, you name it. DPS: Well, maybe you are already accustomed to long wait times–but if you want to cut it down? Forget the meta dps specs: Rogue, mage, hunter. Or don’t. But if you don’t choose that brez spec, and your friends dont either? Then what? Then hurry up and make friends with the Dk tanks and resto druids now. Now, as in right now… Go on… Remember five mans are just that: Five mans.
To sum up:
- Warrior. No Brez.
- Hunter. No Brez.
- Priest. No Brez.
- Mage. No Brez.
- Monk. No Brez.
- Demon Hunter. No Brez.
- Paladin. No Brez.
- Rogue. No Brez.
- Shaman. No Brez.
- Warlock. Brez, yes. But underrepresented in Mythic Plus.
- Druid. Brez. Resto druid–already the go to OP healer on countless levels.
- Dk. Brez. Tank looking strong for SL.
The big winners: People who love M+ and already play their mains as warlocks, druids (especially resto who are already OP) and Dks. Why? Their wait times in queues are going to get cut in half.
The big losers: Everyone else who currently loves M+ but doesnt want to roll one of the three classes of brezzers.
And why is this going to end up being a HUGE healer issue? Because tanks are already super hard to find–hence groups are not going to wait for DK or druid tanks. Hence, one quick solution is going to be to bypass all healers but resto druids–which will be scooped up pronto, and hence, and from the get go will get more access–and that will compound with time–leaving other healers in the dust.
And furthermore, and this is directed at all people who main on non-druid healers and who should be outraged, like me: If these Mythic Plus statistics (albeit more current ones would be better) from before this Brez change don’t speak to this what does?
Disclaimer: Anything can change. The first SL pre-patch isnt even live yet.
