No matter which attack you select during pet battles, the battle pet swap pet button is always highlighted once you’ve selected your attack. There is also a hazy light blue ring around all the pet battle icons once an ability has been used that I don’t recall being there before that obscures the interpretation of the ability slightly and is jarring.

It’s also skipping turns; I tried a PvP pet battle and there were times my pets would do nothing even though an ability was selected (particularly when the opponent switched pets).

In regards to the skipping turns…
As of some recent tests, if you have an undead pet & it dies, or you queue an ability up but the Enemy battle pet has faster speed, & they swap to another pet that also has faster speed than your current pet, it causes your pet to skip a turn, which may result in an undead pet just instantly dying, pets that are burrowed/underground/airborne lose their 2-round ability, or causing the enemy team to get a free swap as well as getting a free ability to use unpunished

Same issues here. They really went and broke pet battles graphically and mechanically… 
Hope they get fixed soon.
