World War Emerald Dream
#RebelAlliance vs #UnitedHorde
You mean last nightsā 3x destruction of the Horde?
Good times, good times.
Aeriara crested the dune on her steed, catching up with the group of fellow Alliance. She gathered her thoughts as stood there, 40 strong, overlooking the Vulpera camp just beyond the ridge. Her eyes turned to those around her, the sturdy dwarves of Clan Battlehammer remaining stoic and eagle eyed for the impending threat. Those of Lionguard, in tight formation around their leader. She nodded to Nearo, and to his Kul Tiras Marines, all eagerly awaiting their chance for a fight. Gnomes from The Gnomish Army stood at the ready, doing last minute tinkering of their intricate machinery. Finally, she turned to her allies, her Ashen Vale, and smiled. To see their faces here before the battlefield, along with old friends like Acialga, Candesse and Cinns, swelled her heart with pride, but also terrified her. She would protect them. She would not fail this time. She dismounted, said a quiet prayer, and prepared herself for what was to come.
The battle itself was a blur. She heard the shouts of their lookouts as the horde fleet came barreling from the camp and up the slope. The Alliance engaged, keeping the higher ground and the advantage. As the Horde fell back the Alliance rallied together beneath KatrĆ«ll for the next moves to be determined. Aeriara heard the shout of āBehind us!ā only moments before an explosion of pain to her head as she was clocked hard into the ground. She clutched a hand to her forehead and desperately scrambled to her feet and attempted to blow back any would be attackers with bursts of holy light. She winced as she steadied herself, realizing the blow to the head had knocked half of her vision into hazy darkness. As the Horde stragglers who had come up from behind dispersed, Aeriara quickly placed herself within the pack of Alliance, keeping her good eye out towards the impending threat. As the Horde bounded out towards them once again the Alliance quickly cloaked themselves in the shadow of stealth, and skirted around to the back entrance of the camp, effectively attacking from behind.
The might of both factions clashing played out almost as if in slow motion. Aeriara desperately flung out healing to all those around her, anyone she could find and help within the chaos and with her limited vision. Flashes of light and fire, dancing colors and noises, shouting, screaming swirled all around her until KatrĆ«llās booming voice rose above the chaos. āMove out!ā Without another word the guilds, allied only by one common threat, pulled away from the camp and regrouped. Aeriara, head throbbing, assessed the damage of her allies as their mages prepared the portals to get back to Boralus as quickly as possible. They had taken this small victory, the damage done, but knew Horde reinforcements would not be far behind if they dawdled too long. Her allies stepped hurriedly into the portals provided as Horde stragglers watched from the ridge above. They would have much explaining to do in the days to come. As she stepped forward into the portal, she looked to them, and grinned.
You must have a Cray for a computer. Mine is no slouch, but dayam. The FR lag was unreal.
But the healing won the day. Thatās for sure.

Voldun, Zandalar
Nicknamed āOperation: Retributionā Rebel Alliance forces under tactical command of Commander Katrell from the Lionguard commenced attacks on the desert state of Voldun. This first joint strike on United Horde controlled territory began with a multi-pronged attack on various strategic locations throughout the warzone.
Rebel Alliance military comprised of forces from Clan Battlehammer, The Ashen Vale, Lionguard, and the Kul Tiras Marines landed in Shatterstone thus beginning the assault of Voldun. With operational support from the Coldridge Company and Salty Sea Doggos, the joint task force made itās way through the sea of sand.
A small patrol made first contact at the Tortollan Refuge and the Rebel Alliance suffered many casualties. Commander Katrell made a decision to rally the entire task force and proceed across the desert.
The battle came to head at Vulpera Highway where in an open patch of desert the Rebel Alliance managed to drive United Horde back to their small outpost. Mounting a hard defense, the Horde tried to bait the Alliance in to a frontal attack where the Horde held the high ground.
Feigning a frontal assault, Commander Katrell took the main force to a ridge under the cover of stealth. Using gliders, Rebel Alliance forces managed to flank and take the rear of the Horde defenders thus resulting in a victory for the Rebel Alliance.

I like how you did not redact the loss we had! True groups can take a loss and recover!
Short, beating winds kicked up sand all across the dunes that night. You could hear it clank and fall against your armor. My cloak was in high demand for shielding my face from the nuisance. My lion, Justice, was not so fortunate, shaking his mane loose of the gritty sand often. His body warmed me against the cooler night air. His steady breath beneath my saddle set the tone in the moments of calm. A fascinating beast he is, one of composureā¦ and brutality.
Our Forces gathered on the salty white sands north of Vulpeera Hideaway: flatā¦ and open. Some may have seen this as a dangerous position, but the advantage of seeing any advancements by our enemies from a long distance away was an asset. We stayed mobile - mounted and prepared. Mobility would be key. The Horde had taken a defensive posture in that nearby encampment of Vulpeera Hideaway. You see, we had just forced their retreat from the Tortollan camp to the north thanks to reinforcements that they were not expecting. A battle we did not leave unscathed.
The private saluted as he handed over a scroll. āCommander, casualty and injury report.ā
I gave a quick salute and a long nod after tucking the scroll into one of the many pouches equipped to Justice. I muffled out some words from behind my cloaked mouth, āThank you, Private. Dismissed.ā
Despite our losses, we had won the field; however, that night was far from over.
All that stood between us and our enemy was a single, tall and long sand dune. We held in the flats, waiting on a mistake. The tall dune blocked our direct vision of the Horde encampment, but our enemy faced the same problem. Of course, they knew where we were - and us them.
āCommander, scouts report movement by the Horde. They are making their way to us.ā
āSo thatās your moveā I thought. I nodded to the soldier and belted out with mask removed, āIncoming! Hold here! Prepare to charge!ā
You could hear the vermin clamoring just on the other side of the dune. We would not engage them at the base, but instead wait on them to step onto the flats. We watched as that horde of rabble crested the duneā¦ they descended it without hesitation.
I pulled up my mask and reared Justice, his roar echoed the signal to charge. āFor the Alliance!ā
Horde filth though they were, they were not to be underestimated. They took a standard formation - melee on the frontline, ranged and battle healers assaulting from the base of the dune. I knew if we maintained a similar formation, weād be leaving the battle in the hands of chance.
We clashed. Chaos ensued. The battle held at a short stalemate. We had to break that stalemate.
āPrepare a full charge!ā My Lionguard were well ready for what a second charge meant. We would press past their frontline, bringing all of our ranged troops with us - it was good to see that our allies adapted quickly to our ways.
āCharge!ā
We scattered their rear flank, which caused their frontline to retreat. We forced the Horde over the dune, but did not pursue the rout. Their forces would have surely rallied at the encampment. This was a battle that needed patience. We held atop the dune, with clear vision of the enemy entrenchment.
Naturally, the Horde forces took a powerful defensive position atop a cliff face that their encampment was settled on. I knew it would be a foolish engagement if we were to siege the cliff, we would have surely broken against them like waves on a rocky shore. We held position, preparing for a daring maneuver.
You could feel the doubt in the air. This was a young coalition after all: and we faced a seasoned enemy with a daunting terrain advantage. Fortunately, this hilly desert was not much unlike the shattered Argus. I had a plan.
Quickly, I made certain everyone had a āgoblin gliderā ready to dispatch. Iāve found goblins to beā¦ distasteful and their technology - crude. However, we will use every chance at advantage that we can get.
Our troops awaited my command. They would lay their lives in my judgement, doubts and all. I knew the Light would not forsake them. I pointed down the dune and signaled that there is as far as we would charge. āWe will force them to prepare for a head-on assault. Then on my signal, our masters of deception will shroud our engagement from site. They will believe we are headed straight for them. Instead, we will use this distraction to bank southeast, up that ridgeline. From there, we will quickly deploy our gliders and engage the enemy atop their cliff. Taking away their advantage - and giving them no time to adjust position.ā
The fellow leaders of our coalition gave their nod to the plan - others held their breath. This strategy was an ambitious one. A single mistakeā¦ and we become those waves upon rocks.
We had to make that charge convincing. I leaned down to speak in Justiceās ear, āOnce more, friend. Dioniss aca.ā I reared Justice again, his roar echoing the sound of our charge. You could hear the lions of my comrades reply in kind, an intimidating call to battle.
āCharge! For the Alliance!ā
Horns blared, mounts roared, voices shrieked out, our beasts rumbled down the dune before our enemy. The Horde steeled themselves for the impending clash.
As we came closer we gave one last belting holler, āAhhhhhhhhh!ā A chorus of rage, desperation, and bloodlust and then-- we vanished.
Silence overcame the battlefield. In a cloud of smoke and shadows we were gone. The Horde held positionā¦ perfect.
We banked for the ridgeline, hurried up the hill, and left our beasts as we deployed our gliders. You could hear the cloth of the goblin technology fill and flap with cool desert air. The enemy had not moved, they were on guard, they were not mounted, they were stationaryā¦ they were vulnerable.
At the last moment, the shadows left us and we were revealed, but it was too late. We landed upon their cliff like thunder upon the plains. This chaos would be OURS! āFor the Alliance!ā
The enemy was soundly defeated that night. We suffered a single casualty in the last battle. For one night, we saw a glimpse of what we are capable of. A bright future for our peoples will require composureā¦ and demand brutality.

Classic Alliancetards count a win with 50+ Raid against 50 man Horde while sucked a D 15 vs 30
Our two raids comprised of 46. As for the other comment, youāll need more clarity for a response: if you want one.

Weāre just out here having fun. I hope you do the same!
It has been awesome watching your guilds come together and grow into a mighty force. These guilds have worked hard to bring RP-PVP back to the server. If you want a fair fight against Emerald Dream Alliance, these are the guilds to find and bring your best to the front lines.
Ishnu Alah friend!
/wink
That bodes person I think has his WPVP happenings mixed up.
'Fraid not.
Been seeing a lot of Lionguard mixed in with Kill Order and The Alliance Empire merging with the Cryptids League offserver and a few other crossrealmers in those 50-80 man teams heās mentioning. Probably why he said something. While I donāt care for how you show up, as I plan on taking your heads for trophies anyways, people will speak up if they see that sort of thing.
I donāt want to derail this topic, but I canāt go without clarifying where we in Lionguard are on the issue youāve brought up. First, this post was all ED - no cross realm at all (thatās just to be clear in regards to the events this thread is about). Second, Lionguard does not support off-realm spoiling of our serverās unique community. If individuals from our guild have been seen with some off realm groupā¦ it is highly unlikely they were in the raid with themā¦ and more likely they were in the area and followed along (likely in their own group with a couple others from our guild). Letās not derail this thread any further. If you have something to say about Lionguard - make a new thread

They should make a comment or thread on that subject then, instead of a thread that is an account of a totally difeerent battle.
As I said in my previous statement, I personally donāt care how you choose to show up. Iāll engage any number regardless of whos pockets you have your hands in.
Now, I will give you props for the fight on Volādun. Your tactic of hiding and then surprise attacking us in the Hideaway had the praise of everyone in D7 when we came calling.
But where you and I donāt see eye to eye is the fact that you got the audacity to tell me that I donāt see a crapload of people from the guilds aforementioned rolling with offrealmers and then you chose to tell me Iām full of it. Not cool in the slightest, especially when my previous post was to merely point out that the initial reason for something being stated was because of that observation alone. Nothing more, nothing less.
Might want to try reading into some things more before you start jumping to conclusions.
