Battle of Dazar'alor Horde have to dress up as alliance?

I thought we were getting a raid for Alliance and a Raid for horde? I dont want to be disguised as a Allaince player on my Horde toons. This new reaid looks really boring and just …meh

Horde players will begin the raid by defending against an invasion in the northern jungle of Zuldazar in the Defense of Dazar’alor .

In the heart of Zuldazar the tables will turn, and Horde players will experience the story—and a trio of encounters—from the perspective of the Alliance. During this middle act, Death’s Bargain , Horde characters will transform into soldiers of the opposite faction (including their associated racials) based on their race:

Blood Elf: Most blood elf players will transform into humans, while demon hunters will become night elves.
Goblin: Goblin heroes will transform into gnomes, except for hunters and shaman, who will become dwarves.
Orc: These players will transform to dwarves. (Talk about a shift in perspective.)
Pandaren: Pandaren will stay as pandaren.
Tauren: Most tauren will turn into draenei, while draenei druids will become night elves.
Troll: Trolls will mostly transform into night elves; troll shaman will become draenei, and warlocks will become human.
Undead: These players will transform into humans.

The Alliance is set to stage an attack on the heart of the Zandalari empire in a bid to sever the ties of the Zandalari and the Horde. They’ll begin with a naval strike on the docks of Dazar’alor in the Siege of Dazar’alor and push their way toward Rastakhan’s throne room in the heart of Dazar’alor in Empire’s Fall .

To cap off the event, players will speak to a scout to shift to the Horde perspective and take on the final three Alliance bosses. During this final act, Might of the Alliance , Alliance characters will transform into soldiers of the opposite faction (including their associated racials) based on their race:

Draenei: These players will transform into tauren, save for mages, who will become orcs.
Dwarf: Most dwarves will turn into orcs; paladins will become tauren, priests will become undead.
Gnome: These players will transform into goblins, except for monks, who will become blood elves.
Human: Most humans will become undead, but paladins will become blood elves.
Night Elf: Night elf players will transform into trolls, except for demon hunters, who will become blood elves.
Pandaren: Pandaren will stay as pandaren.
Worgen: All worgen players will transform into trolls.

They told us long ago, I think in the first or second time they talked about that raid, that there would be 9 bosses, 3 shared bosses, 3 alliance bosses, and 3 horde bosses, with your characters acting as both factions to experience all the bosses.

Sounds awesome to me but to each their own. I just wish BE turned into Draenei instead of boring humans.

MAybe, I seem to recall them implying it was going to be different but oh well. This new Raid does not really interest me. and once again the gear looks pretty boring even for Tansmog. The only reason I look forward to this raid is that the Zandalari will be closer to getting

I don’t quite understand, are you saying it looks boring BECAUSE you change races?

Thats part, but raiding in another Horde city? Been there done that for 18 months with SOO. And the Horde city sucks to get around any way.

I’m going to have an epic dwarven beard!

Likewise I’d prefer my human warlock to turn into a BE.

It seems to be pretty Immersion breaking to me. And the way its being handled seems really lazy and sloppy. I get wanting show the different perspectives but this just seems lazy.

I can become a skeletal monkey… Drop train sets… Summon a ghostly gnome who is a mailbox, have my battle pet ride on a crab, and many other things. An orb of deception like effect suddenly breaks immersion?

It does when you are Allaince and you are suddenly forced to fight your own “heroes” and leaders .

I’m not a fan of looking like Alliance either.

BUT I do enjoy seeing what Humans and Dwarves look like in my looks lol… Sometimes it’s not good. (I usually get turned into a human or dwarf.)

If we get to keep the same gear we have on. I bet we just get turned into generic NPCs or its going to be a playable “flashBack” but we get loot?

Meh i am just gonna skip the raid altogether

I won’t be skipping this one like I did with Uldir, I think it will be fun. This raid really reminds me of time walking we used to do, it is kind of neat.

Same here, will probably getbetter gear with not as much effort from WF and WB

On the positive side, when Alliance get stomped in the world first race/top 100, they won’t be able to blame Racials this time.

Funny, everyone that I know that did any testing of it said it’s looking to be one of the best tiers we’ve had.

Every time we’ve had our race change, it has been in our own gear. I would super duper doubt that Dazaralor would be different. Also what do you mean by “playable flashback?” Because that sounds like exactly what it is.

Having unique raids would have provided a real incentive for people to play both sides. Designing to play as other faction is just pure laziness from Blizz.
