Battle Net will not stay up and connected

I have stopped play except for a game here and there a week and Battlenet stops working and disconnects me every pvp battleground I play, I can’t keep my battlenet up, even had Spectrum come out and check everything out and everything is working great. I have reload Battlenet and the game and battlenet will not stay up and I just keep getting disconnected. That said I have one more month of game time and won’t be renewing until December 1st 2025.

It’s summer time game break. Spectrum did everything including recabling my business connection which has 6 computers on it.

Something is wrong with how battle net is with 11.1.5… Since you put this on my battlenet refuses to let me play smoothly and knocks me off the game every bg or ebg I play. Happens in rated, there is no point for me to play anymore a 5 month break is in order.

Have fun with the game folks, good luck.
Sincerely,
Airwen

General idea of where you are connecting from? Might help track down a backbone connection issue.

It’s otherwise stable in world content? Say if you are not playing in a group, or instance?

Doing a lot of work around your connection, unfortunately did not test the backbone. Wish there was a way to test the trace, did not find a looking glass for Spectrum either.

With our business account there are no issues that spectrum was able to find. Yeah living in the country we do have outages even with a generac fail-over and 30 minute battery ups giving the generac plenty of time to start and take over. So it’s not that and if a pole goes down everything is down.

If it doesn’t work after next month than the wife and I are bailing from wow, I’ll check it out in December and see if battlenet is working again. I have ran into the issue before when we used windows 10 , I see it happens with windows 11 as well. It has out of no where just fixed itself after another update from blizzard, Maybe the next patch will fix the issue.

In regular content it is fine, I had hoped it was an G P U issue easy fix , nothing there in system options changed or unchanged corrects the PvP issue. Since we do not play any instances or raids ( just an example) molten core real basic raid we wouldn’t know if it would disconnect us there too.

But outside instances we can run around anywhere any place from Stormwind to the current content patch.

Maybe they just don’t want us to play PvP anymore.

If it doesn’t were history and bid all of you a farewell. 20 years. It was fun.

We will find out why battle net just randomly decides to disconnect two or three minutes into a PvP match and nothing else is effected when it happens.

I worked in the mid-range ibm systems for 40 years I’ve seen it all from a bad cable to water filling up the up lifted floor at BF Goodrich main complex in Akron Ohio causing all kinds of problems. We called that center BFIS BeFis….

Today, I’m retired, you never forget your education.

  1. us.battle.net › support › enError Code: WOW51900319 - Blizzard Support

Error Code: WOW51900319 This error message occurs when your game loses its connection with the World of Warcraft servers. Check the @BlizzardCS Twitter account for the current server status.

That is the consistent code always shown, I have looked to see if Alleria is down, it is not, I have tried to find something wrong and can’t find it on myside. I had hoped this latest boot was going to correct the problem and it has not, I had Pieces of OS running and stopped it and it has no effect on whether Battle Net disconnects me or now. My wifes computer is completely separate from me and it happens with her, So I loaded a fresh copy on a new system with wow, and it happens there.

Hmmmmm… Very interesting…

After working on this for the whole morning into the afternoon, I finally swept my box, and used the network option “Optimize Network for speed” and it worked. So I made an adjustment on the wife’s box and it worked and on this box and it worked. The swept box works with either account. Same option added, everything has the same basic addon’s. We both play manually, due to the fact when you get to used to using addon’s and the main group of developers make a massive change and all of a sudden all those automatic addon’s don’t work anymore. Learning the game manually does keep you playing.

It’s never worked before ever. I’ll keep testing maybe it was just that one game, but this was the first pvp EBG without a disconnect in the last 3.5 weeks.

I am happy Spectrum replaced the business stuff, it needed replacement imo based on it was installed in 2019 when we bought the farm. So we are all brandnew there and why battlenet keeps disconnecting randomly where ever in pvp I will never know.

My business paid for it, another tax write off, you know how business is. No I am not doing a commercial for my business and no I am not interested in telling everyone in wow what I do as a retired IT, pumpkin and chicken farmer these days. I just fixed my neighbors Mac Pro for him.

The wow network options have never worked for me, but now they are…

Wife sends big kisses to wow tech support for what ever you have triggered in her hubs head got us fixed.

Did you activate or did spectrum activate there security suite on your account. Business accounts its Cloud-based endpoint security. its possible its actually been activated on your connection. I have a normal account and they had activated the residential cloud based security without asking me

I don’t need their security suite on my account, since its a business account I have my other channels of security, where wow has its own secure path. That said, I had spectrum out all day today, and all we can find is Battle.net keeps disconnecting me. No matter if we have two accounts going at the same time, battlenet effects both of us at different times. The last run I was in it knocked me off 7 times and I was thinking, maybe they just don’t like 60 year old people playing the game that have lots of money that buy wow tokens so we don’t have to grind all day long for 100 or so gold an hour. I feel unwanted here on wow.

Spectrum can not find anything wrong here, and my entire websites and clouding along with my inside everything, heck I got it so you can go out 15 acres and still work on a laptop on the property, we use a laptop on the gun range to look up stuff when I have the guys over and we are out shoot all day, then steaks beer what ever you want we got it, Yean I’m rich I’m old what can say.

We will keep testing it and trying new things to see if we come up with a real solution or out of the blue blizzard developers pull off a fix without knowing they fixed anything. It’s probably something simple. If we don’t see it clear up a good summer rest always seems to fix everything when it comes to Microsoft lol.

Thank you for all the help, we will just keep hunting around if we find something I will be sure to report it on the technical page along with major detail of what we found.

Thank you!

What I’m saying is they have a tendency to add it without you knowing. Both the residential and the business accounts have a free security suite that goes with it that is cloud-based. And like I found out on my account being activated it without my permission

Try this: log on WOW. At character screen select MENU at the top. Select OPTIONS - NETWORK. Turn off (uncheck) OPTIMIZE NETWORK FOR SPEED, ENABLE IPv6 WHEN AVAILIBLE. Hope this works for you.

After weeks of testing, whatever they did last Wednesdays boot or Tuesday, I amazingly was doing Cleveland Clinic stuff for my Kidney transplant and was not around to see any updates, mordaciously in a good way, Blizzard fixed it. I had the spectrum chick here today and she said lets try wow again, and it worked, she watching the data and says look no interrupt from them, I said I see, what did they fix, she said I don’t know but it had us baffled at the office for weeks.

I finished out a noisy Wintergrasp where we were going to lose right away due to the SR loss. I play zillions of games in pvp, the game is a game you win you lose its part of wow. Back to the tech stuff, WE DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU FIXED… I tell you it was fun working with spectrum for 3 weeks trying to pinpoint a problem in the business spectrum account playing wow. Thanks for the challenge! Now you can close the forum post.

I am sorry there was no real answer, something has changed. That we know.
2.5 months to correct the problem.

I will be back in December, taking the summer and fall off this year. Thank you all for your input and all the help. The security patch the one person talked about is not on my business account, but it is on my residential account. If that helps you.
