Bastion is Greco-Roman, Revendreth is Ravenloft (which I am onboard for), Ardenweald is Western European Folklore and Maldraxis is what? I got nothing here. Does anyone have a basis or reference for Maldraxis?

Yes, Maldraxxus is indeed inspired by dozens of samey-looking metal promo posters. …And it’s also a callback to the Plaguelands even more directly than Ardenweald was to Ashenvale.

In WoW terms Maldraxxis is literately plaugelands 2.0 which to me is weird considering its the warrior afterlife. Well guess warrior underworld, hell, so maybe it does fit?

Ardenweald Glittercore!
Maldraxxus, is a gray washed Oingo Boingo wierdness to Glamrock Concerts, it’s not your Dad’s scourge, but it is nostalgic enough to keep him engaged to the plot.
Ravendreth, is literally newwave 80s kids now very much into and past their middle age adulthood with The Cure and The Smiths on repeat.
Bastion, yeah boy bands. It’s a hit with many, but very much corporate manufactured.

Oh no. That was the most agonizing zone I have ever had to go through in this games history. I cannot even see myself going back for the mog (it is hideouts). I already captured all the available pets and will trade or AH buy whatever I can from there. I’m thankful it is not “flyover territory” making me have to look down and see it from above. In fact, it is the only zone that I did zero side quest on, just the main one to get me out A.S.A.P.
Yeah the lower life forms just can’t handle it’s beauty. Plus we get to be in a play & dance around with fairies.

Well, If it matters, my main (and the one I play about 90% on). is a Blood DK that has almost always favored a Red/Black based Mog. Venthyr wins in so many ways. A land of flowers, faries & other weird stuff just don’t cut it.
