Hey there! I’ve seen some similar-ish posts about this here and there, but couldn’t find an exact one, so I figured I’d send my voice into the great void because, who knows.
In my opinion, one of the most (potentially) important components to player housing doesn’t exist yet, and that is a small array of basic shapes.
Basic, matte or textured cubes, spheres and cones. I know I see a lot of people using rugs (all hail round circular rug) and the like, but it had me wondering. SHOULD kit-bashing always have to be necessary, when making something homebrew?
Most folks will use beds, fences, rugs, tables and goodness-knows what else to create custom architecture and custom furniture already. With the advent of custom decoration presets, I really think that people could make some pretty incredible stuff, had they access to these basic (literal) building-blocks.
TLDR; I think housing and player-creativity could seriously flourish with simplistic, dyeable cubes, rectangles (long, flat), spheres and cones as decorations.
