Dragon flight: 61%
Classic: 11%
Hardcore: 2%
SoD: 27%
Just so everyone’s clear.

That poll tells me that it’s more entertaining to be on Instagram than retail.
It is! I love looking for warhammer artists.
Isn’t that weighted to cat-owners, though? You have to own a cat to have an instagram account.
All that poll tells me is Classic / SoD era gamers don’t use instagram while retail players do.
So, basically useless information.
Damn I am in shock whenever I’m playing Classic people are always talking about the gram
What a flawed poll, I don’t see “drunk” or “high” or “when Final Fantasy XIV is down” or even “I don’t!!” in the list of choices.
They have the same poll up on twitter, and (with different numbers) it has the same relative ordering, DF>SoD>Classic>hardcore
it’s super weird when fans of a game are upset that other people are enjoying the game that they are fans of…
WoW Tiktok > Insta
No discussion to be had
An ork of culture. Well met.
Ok? Social media poll isn’t reliable evidence so if this is supposed to be some gotcha for people who play Classic it’s not very good
Trying to find the poll on their OFFICIAL FORUM , the one place I would expect to find one. Where is it? Or is John Travolta stuck in limbo once again?
Isn’t that weighted to…
I’m not even going to go there. Too easy.
Wha does SoD mean as it pertains to this survey?
This is a poison on the whole gaming industry, and it comes down to the revolving door of marketing staff.
People who work in gaming marketing hop from publisher to publisher, chasing a constant series of hiring bonuses and golden parachutes.
They never stop long enough to actually learn about any of the games they’re meant to market.
So instead they fall back on the universals. Streamers. Social media. Blah blah blah.
And, incidentally, in order to bribe the streamers into doing their (the marketing dept’s) work for them, they need to give them stuff to give away. That’s where stuff like “twitch drops” come in. They’re not done to promote the game, they’re done by clueless marketing people to bribe streamers into making it look like they (the marketing staff) are doing their jobs.
And along the way, the developers got shanghaied into doing the marketing team’s jobs for them, too. That’s why we get so many developers doing marketing roles instead of… working on development.
Because the marketing people certainly can’t talk about the releases; they don’t know anything.
Play what you like.
It’s a gotcha for people that claim no one’s playing Dragonflight.
I don’t even have an Instagram account lol.
