You seem to be confused. Computers don’t work on base 10. They never have, and never will. They work on base 2 and base 16. They use 0’s and 1’s, and powers of 2.

Well computers can do calculations in any base. But internally everything is done in binary (base 2). Base 2 and base 16 are very easily converted (base 16 is effectively an easier way to represent binary while taking up less space).
