-And most importantly, you can still enable the classic Blizzard Art Bar (with the gryphons) from before the patch.
Also worth mentioning is the SexyMap addon. It isn’t exactly the old minimap but it has the time displayed at the former location, instead of the tiny numbers at the top.
Can you?! I’ve been looking all over for this, please tell me how.
I happened across this one, I’m not 100% happy with it but it’s a good step. Does anyone know a good outline to use with a circular map that isn’t super busy?
You can move it, it’s in the list of bars under… “status bars” or something? But it’s there.
It doesn’t have a lot of options though, and it doesn’t play very well with artifact power bars if you happen to be in Legion/BfA content.
You can fade out bars out of combat. That’s the big thing for me.
I have a bar really close to the center of my screen that shows up during combat that helps me track my most important talents. It’s pretty “in your face” because that’s what I intended for it.
Out of combat it fades to 10% alpha and is unclickable, so it doesn’t interfere with my immersion and field of view.
That’s currently impossible with the default UI. Though if it had that feature, I’d remove Bartender completely.
For the group finder icon, it’s one of the bars like the status bar. Can’t remember the name already you’ll find it
As for the status bar, I tried fiddling with that last night thinking it was it but nothing was in it. Maybe it’s a hidden setting I have enabled/disabled. I’ll look at it.
So, I found the Queue Status Bar option in BT, and it’s definitely referring to the right UI piece, I can scale it and turn it off and everything, but… it won’t let me move it? Under the “position” tab there’s no options for x/y.
Gonna try to clean out my old settings and see if I can get rid of some other lua errors, maybe that will clear things up…
Blizzard has these arbitrary limitations in their UI that make bartender still pretty essential. You can’t even make a bar that’s less than six slots. I use 5 and 4 slots to mimic on screen my Razor Tartarus. Like what is the point of putting these limitations in? Makes no sense. Just make it like bartender. Also, bartender has up to 10 action bars. Blizzards doesn’t go that far. Having these extra action bars is helpful for making these small bars like I’m talking about.
Not to mention all the things the OP mentioned. You can move the XP bar to the top.
I actually just used the “bar lock” feature for Bartender4 (you can left-click on the minimap button, or tick the “lock” box at the top of the B4 window) and dragged it where I wanted it. BUT it’s really weird that there’s no options for x/y there, as I see them in my game.
My UI is pretty much “really weird: the video game” BT is doing strange things, combuctor refuses to come up at all, Mogit won’t update… it’s just a mess.
I might have to just nuke all my settings and start over again.
