Baros Alexstron and WoD: "Let's take this world for the Alliance!"

Decided to give the Alliance side a go and started leveling a character. I chose Warlords of Draenor because I enjoy having the garrison.

The storyline, or at least what I took from it, is the local Draenei of the unshattered Draenor are offering some land for the Alliance Commander to build a command center for operations to defeat the Iron Horde.

When Khadgar opens the portal to Stormwind, in walks Baros Alexston the Garrison Architect and he immediately says, “Let’s take this world for the Alliance!”

Meanwhile, WoD Velen is standing there along with some of his people, and they don’t bat an eye. I was waiting for Velen to be like “hold up, this isn’t what we agreed to.” But nothing. Nobody acknowledged it. They ignored the fact that one of the people that they still don’t trust 100% at that point basically portrayed themselves as conquerors.

Perhaps Velen just ignored it because he’s a prophet and still foresaw no conquering taking place regardless of the guy running his mouth. I’ll go with that. It was just a weird moment in the story.

The alliance did make another garrison in spires of arak too. :mag::robot:

Consider this, the Alliance;

  • Made no threat against Karabor
  • Helped their people and saved the girl of destiny and his student Yrel

Velen;

  • Knows their people are in danger
  • Knows Draenei in a future where the Alliance have thrived are here to help them, through Maraad.

So for Velen it must mean very little if the world is taken for the Alliance if it means the success of the Draenei and the downfall of their adversaries.
