They’re not going to add a traveling minstrel as a class over literally anything else, despite what “hints” people will point to like the Radiant Song, a few trash items, and an NPC from a random location three or four expansions ago.

Didn’t they really really hint at Bard when they were releasing the Augment spec? I specifically remember even possibly Blizzard mentioning a “utility role” of sorts but it may just be my imagination. It could’ve been scrapped when Aug kinda messed the balance of raids.

i thnk the chances of bard ever being a class in wow died when support classes where shot and buried after aug evoker didnt work as well as blizzard expected.

Not a bad idea honestly. Make it a healer though in addition so I can queue/level faster on my rogue alts.

To be honest I love playing support in FF14, I just couldn’t stand being trapped in dragon form. They changed that too late.
Also the display of the meters needed to be changed to healing, dps and damage reduction all in one bar for support to really work. It’s all about the size of the line… we are simple creatures.
i played ff14 when they were finishing the butchering of the bard support side so i cant really relate.
I liked the idea of a Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain class where you power slide for quick movement.

You’ll never see Bard after the debacle that is/was Aug Evoker.
