Which one are you gonna watch over/before the other?
Whichever one I happen to stumble across first on cable TV.
Oppenheimer was really Barbie living a transgendered life. So if you watch one you are really watching both!
I went to Saw Oppenhimer and it was good movie. I have no desire to see Barbie.
They really appeal to different demographics to say the least. As a male, Barbie dolls meant nothing to me, and I don’t have daughters so there is no desire to see it. It looks interesting from a visual perspective, but that is where it ends for me. I like history, so that would make it an even easier choice for me. I’ll be curious to see how they do moving forward, and what Oppenheimer ends up getting nominated for.
Growing up, there was a kid down the street from me who used to steal barbie dolls from his stepsisters and stores and mutilate them in all sorts of ways I can’t discuss on the forums. As an adult, he ended up in jail for abusing his wife. There was another guy in school who was bulimic and blamed his attraction to barbie dolls for his eating disorder. I’m not sure “gender fluid” was a term in the early 90’s, but this guy definitely had that weird look like his sexuality was different from the average male.
What’s the lesson in all this?
Barbie dolls are a bad influence on young boys. If you see a young boy with a barbie doll, always assume the worst.
Yeesh, about the first guy, some people never changed from their childhood years.
Once they are disturbing as kids, they are still disturbing as adults.
The truth is Barbie actually headed up the Manhattan Project. Oppenheimer was Barbie’s alias (think Heisenberg in Breaking Bad) and everything Mattel has done since the project is simply a government image make over.
Barbie is heading towards a billion dollar by looks of and that movie has a political agenda within this film… Can’t we have a movie that is fun and entertaining without these this agendas shoved down our throats?
by the looks of your quote, you seem to have a political agenda since you are commenting on a movie you have not seen (as are other people). Also since you clearly have not seen the movie, how is anything being “shoved down your throat”?
Or I just listen reviewers who I trust gave out their honest opinion about the film and they all said the same thing. No I didn’t watch Ben Shapiro’s review if you’re asking.
Since the movie scores 80 on metacritic and 90% fresh on RT, seems like you simply cherry pick reviewers for your own political interest. That’s fine, it just makes your past comment pure hypocritical BS that’s all.
I just point out this that this movie is bait and switch. A theme for this film is to fight against the patriarchy. It already made its money back and going hit billion dollars my voice is moot at this point but stuff within the film needs to point out. I have some issue with Oppenheimer. It would been easily PG13 film if they didn’t included sex scenes with Florence Pugh and the other problem was run time.
Welcome to politics.
so you are for the patriarchy, got it
welcome to misogyny
Oh noooooo. A movie going on to say both men and women are enough. How evil of them
The movie says both the patriarchy AND the matriarchy are bad
You’d know this if you were Kenough
Also WAIT A MINUTE. You and I were talking about Godzilla movies a few days ago. Godzilla is FULL of political stories
GODZILLA WOULD NOT EXIST WITHOUT POLITICS
Damn, she really has had every job
there a big difference between dangerous use of nuclear weapons (that the theme of Godzilla) and war against men. I do believe some patriarchy should remain in palace other wises women end up miserable. I do believed Men should run the house they’re also projectors and I always believe only men should go to the battlefield when comes to war. I don’t like this idea where you telling women that u life problem is men and you don’t need them. In reality you do and without them, Women’s lives would be without purposes and nuclear family would end up collapsing.
Godzilla has some messaging through the film Gojira - dangerous result with nuclear weapons, Mothra vs. Godzilla - greed, All monster attack - standing up to bullies, Godzilla vs. Hedorah - pollution and Godzilla vs. Biollante- Bioweapons, Mothra and Godzilla: battle for earth - global warming and Kiryu Saga- let the dead rest. There’s nothing wrong with those messaging if done correctly but my problem with Barbie was marketing for that film that end up to be a bait and switch.
Oh wow we are so done here
Hmm, I’m against Sex Scenes, so I’ll probably not watch Oppenheimer.
And my Mom had a good time watching Barbie at Theaters with my Dad so I guess she’ll get it on digital right as it comes to vudu. sigh I guess it won’t be too bad, I just don’t like Margot Robbie, something tells me she thinks she’s the big cheesy one… Actually, she’s the star of a billion dollar film, she is!
