Barber Shop in Classic?

No barber shop is gay, GO BACK TO RETAIL scrub!

You can’t get the full Classic experience unless you are dressed like you are an insane blind clown.

This is one of the few changes I wouldn’t mind. It doesn’t really do anything except offer players a chance to change their appearance. You could make the argument that you would be able to look different than you were previously represented… but we rely on names rather than appearance for recognizing people.

I am going to assume that was a joke.

I laughed at it either way, take a +1.

This would not negate Vanilla from being classic. I approve of barber shop.

Add just a barber shop.

Be sick from work just today.

Have just one cigarette.

Drive only slightly drunk.

Eat fast food for lunch just today.

Or don’t.

Uh… it objectively would make Classic less Classic.

I would love a dressing room in Classic, for the same reasons. Also I just want to be able to change my character’s hair sometimes. Would be fun.

Anyway, in the meantime, you can use this to do a proper skin/hair color preview:

I used it to plot out my Troll’s look since the stupid Orc/Troll starting screen has that weird lightning in it. Once I knew the colors I wanted, I took note of the two color options on either side of that one, and used that to help get back to the one I was really looking for.

It isn’t a fallacy if there is no clear and obvious stopping point and if there are ample examples of failures to stop.

FYI what is that reference? I don’t recognize it.

In the same sense BNet integration does. That actually does way more harm to the game than a barber shop ever could.

No changes.

Only if they actually use the updated models too.

I was glad when they changed them, most of the faces on most of the races looked like they had been hit repeatedly with a brick.

Definitely. And much improved latency and uptime, and 60+ fps, and popular index sites, and YouTube, and…

Correct. Where’s the whining about that?

Hm. I imagine it got tamped down as soon as anyone with an adult perspective (can’t relive past etc) addressed it.

  1. some people have said it might throw off the economy since it will add in another gold sink to the game. Whether it will really have an impact nobody can say since we didnt have a barbershop during vanilla. UNLESS Blizz decides to be super generous and allows Barbershop modifications for free.

  2. I think that most people (i know i am) are afraid that Blizz will decide to start adding in QOL changes that nobody asked for. And if that were to happen they might start to add in changes that nobody asked for AND that only a few people liked. The safest way to avoid that kind of situation is to just say no changes at all.

Yeah, I miss the barbershop. And I would go further… having to only have one hairstyle for the entirity of my toon’s life is as ridiculous as having one set of armor.

The barbershop makes sense for immersion.

The best way to encourage them to add changes that people actually want is to voice what we would love to see. I can understand the hesitation and knee-jerk reaction people have to the idea of changes in Classic, but I’m one of those people who would welcome certain QOL changes if they were implemented, such as a barber shop. Personally, I think change is inevitable to this version of the game, and I would like to encourage Blizzard to focus on the changes I’d like/discourage them from the ones that (to me at least) don’t seem to fit the game.
